Yes, they are the ones listed as in charge, but Kaguya has so much influence with them, they'd listen to her. Heck, she's still with them during some battles.

@Shuuda: Xing Ke
@KallenMiki: Of course, he is The Ditz

And yeah, Kaguya has LOTS of influence. I can also see Xing Ke's death flag as the highest one in the final battle...

Right. But it's still an office Lelouch made for her (even more, in fact, than the leadership of the BK, which he was supposed to keep for himself). Without him, she'd still be the mascot of an obscure, not really successful movement in Area 11.

And Kaguya is the spokesperson of the civilian authority over the military arm of the UFN. That is an influential post, though its exact power is unclear.

@Anh: Going back to what you first said. Kaguya didn't want to treat Lelouch like an enemy, otherwise she wouldn't have been crying.

Agreed. Seriously, miasmacloud/Schneizel/Koda is not a valid source......

Anyway, anytime somebody quotes that blog and uses the world lulz I'm just going to assume it's trolling from now on. It's easier that way.

Um, none of these links have proof that Sunrise had no plan for the direction the series. In fact, they are not even correct/reliable sources.

Just don't feed the trolls. I know it's hard because they are kind of everywhere that there's discussion on Code Geass (somebody must have untied the leash on 4chan around episode 17), but they make themselves pretty obvious lately. Just look for language like "lulz", "I watch this show for (insert nonsense reason)" or "trainwreck" or anything overly negative/dramatic/illogical, and you'll be able to pick them out.

Also if a person seems to be claiming that they are enjoying the show because it's "crappy" or "fabulous" versus being upset then that should tell you something about what they are up to. It's all in the language.

Hmm.. didn't know translations of official stuff had to be from Code Geass Fan Approved sites to be legit... I'm a fan myself but clearly Sunrise dropped the ball here and, if you can read between the lines of what they themselves say, they admit it too.

Honestly not trying to troll just trying to strike up a conversation on what went horribly wrong.

wow after i saw that episode i was just like... "WHAT THE FUCK!!!?".
this is definately the mecha deathnote its suppose to be. i mean this is seriously crazy... first lelouche becomes the enemy of the black knights. then he becomes the enemy of his mom who is suppose to be a major reason why he did everything he did. and now hes the enemy of his sister, who gave him his entire reason for everything that has happened from season 1, till now...

as M. Night Shyamalan would say, "what a twist!"

Interesting episode. What I've noticed throughout code geass and especially R2 is that Lelouch's ideals are constantly undermined, like anime ronin said above me, one of his main reasons for fighting was to find the person who killed his mother and to create a better world for nunally. In the end his mother turns out to be his enemy and Nunally ends up on Schneizel's side. This basically crumbled his very foundation and motivation. To be honest if this keeps up I have a feeling it won't be a happy ending for Lelouch.

Lelouch rather then advancing in power like what most people believe, I feel is being pushed more and more into a corner. Leaving the black knights and becoming the emperor, his ideals are being pushed to the limits and as a defence mechanism he comes up with grander and more ambitious ideas. I have a feeling this really won't work out well for Lelouch.

I still don't understand...

Someone explain to me why the staff and Taniguchi had to scrap the original script. Was it the time they got? Problems with Sunrise? And I'd appreciate detail, I mean I'm pretty sure both and more were factors. Thanks in advance~

Because they switched from like a 11pm show to a 5 pm show. More kids watch tv at 5pm than 11pm...so yeah.

brief summary lol.

Actually no....no that's not the case really, knowing the original plans and all. Considering the original plans contain about 2-3 episodes worth of workable content at best. That's how far along they were with the second season bridge before they decided to go with the memory rewrite.

I smell Code Trainwreck: Failure of the Rebellion xD

But in Seriousness, that sucked really bad. I hope they pull a "Rebuild of Evangelion" to retell Code geass the way he wanted.

idk why but after episode 21, Code Geass has been giving me Evangelion vibes. D:
