Geez... This is why I rarely enjoy dubs.
It sounds way more dramatic than I remember in the japanese version.
And Rokurou totally seem to have lost his samurai-style funny way of talking.
As I said, way too dramatic for my delight.

I'm not in favor of dubs usually, but too dramatic and not deep enough of a voice? My impression was completely the opposite. lol Normally JP voices are way higher so English dubs usually sound too deep. In this case it was just fine. Going from the comments on the VA's twitter, it seems like she does a good job at channeling that deep voice. As for being too dramatic sounding... everything about Velvet and her story is edgy and serious so the tone fits well enough to me.

That's actually not true.

From what was seen in the Anime, many may guess that much.

She definitely sounds deeper than the original, even though the original is probably a bit deeper than you'll usually get for a female protagonist in Japanese. She also seems a bit overdramatic, but that's dub acting for you. It's probably not as obvious in context, and the original might be just as overacted, for all I know. The other two voices did sound much better, either way.

Episode 10

Well that was obvious who the character was under the mask.

I like how Alisha took on a leadership-like role again for the group to show what she's capable of. Plus, I think the episode did a decent job at portraying Lilah's role as well up to this point. The town seems to be still recovering from the Hellion attacks..

Sorey becoming more well known for his Shepherd status doesn't surprise me. I think the idea of purifying humans is something he'll have to get used to and the fact that malevolence will exist because human lives are too fragile.

considering how they treated alisha in the game, its only granted that they don't screw her up in the anime, or otherwise it would have been the alisha controversy all over again.

They seemed to have made Rose more of a fool in the anime by actually falling for this hitjob on Alisha, and from the kind of people the Scattered Bones should be most weary of too by their mission statement, and just took him for his word alone.

And kept at it 2-3 times over instead of stopping right at the beginning.

They also made Alisha smarter by having her know who it is behind the mask herself.

Nice episode. Story is moving forward and the war is starting next episode. It's also nice on how they portray aliaha's resolved. But realistically. It's too much of an ideal and won't work in real.

But she still has to try. If she didn't, it'd be the same as giving up, and that path would only lead to kegare.

Not necessarily Rose did prematurely decide to kill Sorey in the game as well due to her completely misreading the situation. According to the guidebook she has accepted missions from other politicians as well. It seems as though the anime isn't going in the game's direction and just trying to brush this all under the rug.

She isn't naive. She's idealistic but she's aware of the risks.

Besides, the primary reason there could be war is because the crazy corrupted politician is pushing for it. Alisha is doing the right thing by not playing into his hand. If she supported his move, everything would go to shit, and a lot more people would die.

I'm going to say it, I was disappointed. Where are the battle animations, there were a few, but not enough!
