Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai - For horror, if you would like. The second season has started with this title
Kaze no Stigma - Action Fantasy, and a bit of forming romance Mushi-Uta - Weird, but i liked it. One episode out so far, fantasy, action, possibly romance? Zero no Tsukaima: Futatsuki no Kishi - Romance/Fantasy, Ive been waiting for this anime since season 1. School Days - Havent seen as im looking at other anime, but should consist of school/romance, and should be good i hope. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - Comedy, I couldnt stop laughing in some cases. Heroic Age - Action/Space/developing romance? I really do enjoy this anime so far. Zombie Loan - not even sure of genre so far. It is interestingly weird, but i like it so far. Claymore - action/horror? I love it, cant wait for next episode. These (above suggestions) are just a few of on-going anime, but these are some i like as I am not sure of your favorite genre or such. For some that has finished that is very good. (not sure how long youve havent watched) Code Geass - Action/Mecha - It isnt like gundam, but more strategy type one. I really enjoyed this anime, and should be a season 2 this fall, i think. Fate/stay night - action/fantasy/romance - Very good anime. Shakugan no Shana - similar to Fate/Stay night, but a little more shounen, sorta. Soul Link - Romance/scifi/action - Interesting, but i like anime of Navel Utawarerumono - Action/Fantasy/romance - made me like Navel anime. REC - Romance - if you want a short romance anime Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu - Comedy/School - order of episodes were weird, but i loved this. Ouran Koukou Host Club - comedy/school/romance? - Great comedy anime xxxHOLiC - Fantasy/Mystery - dont even worry about graphic even if you may or not like it, story is great. Black Lagoon - Action - action action action.. great anime for action, has interesting story. Ok, i could go on forever... Depends on since youve stopped watching anime, but these are 2006-2007 anime that i thought were ok... There are tons of more, but... ill say later if you want. |

adding to what FTO listed... (My personal choice for Fall, Winter and Spring)
Kanon the Remake ~ drama/fantasy/romance... nice story, animation and good char. dev't... Nodame Cantabile ~ musical anime that has a nice storyline and great characters... maybe it's winter's (2k6-2k7) best anime IMO... Seirei no Moribito ~ an epic like anime this spring... had a nice story and some great action scenes... Summer hmmm FTO said it... seconded aHigurashi Kai...

Aside from the anime that just started this season (I haven't seen enough to give you viable suggestions in case they turn sucky), but I think the top three for me (besides Nodame) is Hayate no Gotuku, Romeo x Juliet, and Kaze no Stigma. This doesn't mean that the other new-ish anime is bad, but I pretty much like most of them so these three are what I like most.

i second Kanon
Air is also pretty good. but those two are if your really into romance and stuff. both are rather emotional as well. Azumanga daioh is pretty good as well. mostly comedy though. very funny. but that one isn't as "new". |
