I think it signifies reconciliation, and maybe thanks for what Aaeru has done for her, and acceptance. The kind of symbol that's pretty much overdetermined and therefore more telling than if words had been used. I love that scene.

The episode satisfied my little shippery heart. I probably watch shows for their relationship dynamics more than anything else. Seeing Morinas and Wapourif was absolute joy. Their body language was very well done. It's also very nice to have Guraghief and Anubituf back. Fangirling Aaeru again--it's her turn to be taken aback by Neviril! the tables have been turned! Hurray!

It just came to my mind that the place may show to each of them where she should be or will be at the end.
Onashia's puzzling saying
"This place is where time and space is released"
might mean 'the time and the space in there' is not something absolute to anyone, but one different according to pesron.

That is....
Maybe Neviril and Aaeru's final station is the Spring.

As for Yun....
I think she saw herself in the Simoun.
Mamina's act right after looking into the Simoun gives an impression that what she saw is related to Yun.
Yun also said "everyone is waiting for me."
Isn't it that everyone is refering to her comrades who have passed away and she has always been conscious of?

The others saw Anglas.
I don't quite understand why they saw the girl...
But it might be that the event in ep 8 was the most traumatic event in their lives.

Both the girl in the Simoun which Yun saw and Anglas were in the new type Simouns.
Beyond my guessing of what it could mean.....

It's not as if Aaeru and Neviril being the two main characters is not a big enough hint already. But the jacket pic seems way over the top, IMO, it makes Simoun look like some hentai anime...

What if Anglas being in the ruins points to some sort of an alternative reality? A reality in which she worships Tempus Spatium instead of whatever the name of the Highland deity is and flies some sort of Simoun. Maybe upon entering the ruins one could see various possibilities? It seemed to me that the Simoun Yun and Mamiina saw was the same (but was it the same one that was shot down a bit earlier?) as the one the rest saw but "Everyone is waiting for me" doesn't really fit them seeing Anglas in there.
Or maybe whoever dies in or near an exploding Simoun ends up in the Ruins somehow? But that didn't seem the case with the killed Saibyllae in the first episode, I don't recall being mentioned that bodies were missing.
And I am very interested in Aaeru's music box and her grandfather's knowledge.

Angelus belive and Tempus Spatinum was in the Past, perhaps the same god.(Explain in Episode 8).

Perhaps this is the connection for the apperance in the Ruins.

And the other kind of Simouns, perhaps there was other "ex-corps" members inside. Died in the past, revived in the Spring (Perhaps the Spring are more then a place to select gender. Heaven? Hell? Onashias explain it "...and give the people unending blessings... and terror." (Episode 17 (Thxs Wowo)).

And in the past there must have a fight there. The Simoun crashed trough the walls. But where is this place, called "the spring"?.

Did you notice the "Stoneage" ring inside the creater? Strange isnet it?

To many perhaps, and question. But this is the source to going on...

Onashia meant that this place was special in that time and space moved freely and was not limited to the perceptions and rules they have outside. Perhaps when they perform ri-maajons or maybe just the Emerald Ri-Maajon, time and space is released as well?

Well, it's not so much that she speaks as a street delinquet or high-school punk, but more the lack of female mannerisms in her speech (...She tends to use male conjugations to my ear, though mind you that I'm not very well versed in the world of female vs. male speech. The extremes are of course always easy to tell apart, but...).
This, in addition with the rather ear-grabbing "ore", her mannerisms and attitude, and most of all, the extremely heavy contrast of all of this with her looks, I suppose, is what makes her stick so much out from the mold. It's like a small drop of blood in a jar of salt, despite being only a drop, there's no way you're not going to notice it.
"Ore-onna" is a very apt and cute nickname indeed, I think. She's no typical Tomboy character, that's for sure .

Spoiler for title of episode 20, speculation/analysis about Paraietta (- tl:dr: warning):

Well, they could suprise us and have it be someone totally else than Paraietta. Yun's comment at the end of 17 made her a candidate, at least . Mamina or Rodreamon biting the dust would also probably ellect loads of reply from the other, the others chor members, well, I don't think they've done anything to mark themselves nor is there any notable non-generic drama to gain from their early passing.

But yeah, as things currently look Paraietta indeed looks to be the most likely candidate. If the preview holds true she's really backing herself into a corner, no matter the outcome of the event - Even if no one would get there in time to interrupt, I'm sure once the realization of what she's done hits her afterwards, it will make her fall even deeper into the pit that she is. It's like she hit rock bottom already, and will then realize she went on to dig the pit another extra length deeper herself, just to make sure she'd have absolutley no chance of getting back up.

Whatever the end is, I have a hard time seeing her recovering to normal - She's essentially defined her entire life through Nevile, and now that Aeru is 'moving into her territory', it's creating a void in her reason for existance as clearly seen in the past couple of episodes.
And even if everyone else would be willing to overlook her actions, the shame, as mentioned, if nothing else, will prevent her in the end from going back to completely normal - We've seen it plenty of times already that she's not the kind of person who's very good at dealing with her own faults, and takes rather heavily on herself her errors.

In a way it's a hole she's dug herself. She's taken on the mantle of the strong, just, headstrong servant of duty - Probably at least partly for the reason that she precieved this would be the way to get closest to what she desires (eg, close ties with Nevile, who is, after all, a person of strength and high morals herself, though not in the same way Paraietta tries to be).
However, the course of the show has shown us that it's all a shell built around an in reality rather fragile person - One who is afraid - afraid of being abandoned. Afraid of expressing her true self out of fear of rejection. Afraid of the shame and ridicule she might bring up on herself from the others by exposing her true self.

I'm not really much of a fan hers myself, but she's a good, if a bit angst-ridden character.

She's like the boy who doesn't want to confess to her old-time female friend that he's got a crush on her out of fear of estranging their relationship, and because of that fear can't do anything but watch on the sidelines as a 3rd wheel comes in and takes the girl away. Only there's much more layers at work in this case.

Paraietta's riding a slippery slope in a downward direction with such force that the question is not "When will stop and start climbing again?" but "How long will the ride last before we hit the bottom?"


In relation to that, I wonder how Kaim will suddenly react should Paraietta suddenly make an exit? Perhaps it'll open up chances for some sisterly relationships, or something? (no, seriously. No, not in that way, you pervs). It would be a good way to come around with those two, since I was a bit unsatisfied with the ambiguity following episode 12.

And of course, the news that Vuyra will re-appear in episode 19 would perfectly fit in with Paraietta making her exit from the show...

As for the exit - If I had to make a stab at how it goes, I'd say she's first in her room angsting over her actions, but then will ultimately end up with a Martyr death somehow saving Nevile or someone else from something, thus allowing her a peace of mind.
Well, I hope they're at least spicing it well enough if they do go by the book like that .

...Or then she'll just run and fall into the nearest bottomless pit. Or off the deck .

Someone's probably mentioned this in the last 52 pages or so (I can't be bothered to go see if someone has) but I only noticed, three or four episodes ago (I've only watched the first ten), that there were differences among the Simoun. I count four variants, based on gross configuration. The standard Simoun has one pointed ventral fin (this folds out of the way when the thing lands) and a sharp dorsal spike. Call Tempest flies three of these. Neville's is one. There's another variant that has a rounded tip to the ventral fin. Not sure who this belongs to (Call Tempest has one). Another has two ventral fins (like a swallow's tail). I figured out who flew this a couple days ago, but I've forgotten.. ^_^;; (Floe/Alti, perhaps). One of these got blown up in the first episode, it seems to have been replaced with another of the same type. The last variant has a huge T-tail, almost like wearing a sombrero if seen from the front. Rodreamon flies in this one. Call Caput (the squadron that got massacred in the first episode) had three of these.

That airframe has a simoun-Emerald-ball and I am pursuing the others that ri-marjion possible, a simoun of "The Choir tempest "and slow down to a near state for stand-still, and it seems that inertia-control ability and mobility are considerably higher-ranking than a before airplane simoun by can occupy the rear.

It was missing whether it was a manned plane whether it was a drone, but Shrine maiden "Angulas" her corpse of the body,, the suicidal-attack explosion which should have died boarded it in the 08 episodes in a thing of the body which there was in remains' undergrounds in the episodes 17.

A mystery / doubt / unfiled information

1: Not what is new or a new model, is it "an original simoon" and the body which should say?
2: Process and the reason that protected remains.
3: Is it unmanned whether it is manned?
4: Who gets if manned?
5: Was left unattended by remains; V-shaped（Is it new?） The reason why "Angulas", her corpse of undergrounds boarded 　in the simoon.
6 :How much are a difference with a conventional simoon and a performance gap?
7: A fatal problem as a fighter due to "V-shaped placement" of helical-Mortris squirrel.

(I cannot find the side / lower part view at all unless I post camera & body pit monitors if I say only about a visual area battle.)

I think the markings are the same: but the blast removed the outer markings, leaving only most of the inner oval. As someone said (on 2channel, I think) it shows that the markings are painted on, not tatoos.

Since Simoun is no Monster or Higurashi (in other words plot twists and suspence are not that important), I really doubt we would be shown a flashback of Anglas if it wasn't really her in there. You can say that this was because the characters mistook the dead girl for Anglas but I just don't think we should be that reluctant to believe the characters' recognition skills. Of course, it's possible that seeing a dead body with the symbol of Highland priestess on the forehead the Choir Tempest girls instantly recalled Anglas's suicidal actions but I doubt this was the case.

Yeah, I too was sure she saw something related to herself first (I thought it would have been perhaps one of her supposedly fallen mates at first).

I really have a hard time understanding why she'd say "Everyone's long waiting for me" with the concept that she saw Angulas in the body in the cockpit (which is though, as you said, what it was, if you go back and look you can see it clearly), except in the case she would have some sort of relation to her.
Well, she was all happy-happy-joyjoy to Angulas about the peace talks in Ep8, but I don't think that really counts . Another theory that distantly crossed my mind was that if she'd actually be some sort of traitor/undercover sleeping agent/mole, but I really don't think that would fit at all well with her character and with how they've been handling her so far, despite that it would in a way explain her reluctance to socialize with others (I covered my thoughts on that subject rather lenghtily a page or two back, so no more on that ).


There's not really much leads to be found in what we so far know of Yun that you could build on and draw any sort of direct conclusions from her seeing the body (or, well, I can't see any), which makes is what makes the thing so preplexing. Something to do with seing a supposedly long-dead person not perhaps be as dead as initially thought? (assuming it was the same enemy Simoun that they shot down, which I'm not that sure of )

...And then she continues walking with a very determined look on her face. Obviously she made some desicion and commited herself to something, but what exactly?

Makes me think that perhaps something klicked in Yun in relation with Angulas strong dedication to her cause, triggered by seeing her again? Reflection of Simulacurum's own actions/policy? They're both extreme theocracies who belive they're in the "right", after all...

Well, time ought to reveal the answer to the mystery, but it's a peculiar reaction coming from her, none the less.

Re: The V-shaped Simoun's suitability as fighter due to the engines most likely limiting vision;
It's not as the original Simoun is much better - The pilot has a great view up front/down, but is totally blind to everything in the rear. Even the Sagitta doesn't have very good back vision due to the cockpit canopy still being more tilted forward than being level, and then there's the "spine" which rises up behind all of them - The one with the T-shaped spine is probably the absolute worst in terms of visibilty .

But eh, it's anime, and i'ts not like I'm supposedly watching Simoun so I could orgasm over all the peculiar small technical details the creators put into into the technical aspects of the show (if we go there, there's a whole boatload of more things than just poor field of vision that plagues the Simoun...). And moreover, it wasn't designed as a fighter but as a ceremonial craft in the first place .
