Actually, I'm not a baseball fan, but the games were my favorite parts of the first season. I wonder if they can continue to work at the same pace (several episodes per game).
Spoiler for games:

Spoiler for games:
If they were to make it to the regional championship they would have to play 8 games total, so 7 more.

I can't believe I haven't checked it out earlier, but the PV for the upcoming new OP (Natsuzora, by Galileo Galilei) has been out for a while already. It certainly sounds fitting for Oofuri. I can already foresee a pretty epic OP sequence sending chills down my spine as I finally realize "wow, the series really is back".

First episode in exactly two weeks~

^The video seems like one of the photoshop presets was applied to the each frame...

But the song is good enough, and I'm sure seeing it open Oofuri will be refreshing. Can't wait...

Come on, you know it's true! if that subtext were any more obvious...

I believe this one is only going 13 eps, if I'm not mistaken. But I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere.

I really can't see Oofuri's slow-paced nature working well with a tight 13-episode constraint....but I guess we'll see what happens....

Well, if they keep the pacing of the first series that would take us through about the bottom of the 3rd inning of the first game.

First short CM, first new animated scenes. We're getting there, slowly but surely. Good to see the show's look hasn't changed.

By the way, the number of episodes really hasn't been confirmed anywhere. It could be 13 as well as 24-26. I'm pretty sure it'll be one of the latter, but what do I know...

They weren't that slow. I thought they were 3 episodes per game.

Yeah, more of the boys of summer soon.

Edit: Oh that Tosei match was 10 episodes...

Same deal as with Kaichou wa Maid-sama - Hidamari Sketch Hoshimittsu has ended its run today and passed the timeslot's baton to Oofuri by showing a new 30-sec CM.

Some pretty classic Mihashi and Momokan scenes there.

Eh? Maybe my memory is bad, but I seem to recall the last match being around ten episodes....

Edit: Should have read the whole post.

My guess is that the 2nd season is going to be between 24-26 episodes. So looking forward to it in less than a week's time.

So any fansubbers going to pick it up?

I think CA did it the last time, though they took it down after licensing. The second season isn't licensed, however....

According to the fansub wiki (link), there are 2 fansub groups who would be subbing the 2nd season.

First time I've been excited for an anime in years. The first series has been reissued with a kinda unnecessary redo of Mihashi's birthday scene (lol Abe singing) and a bunch of other stuff that will never make it stateside. I will be waiting and I will make myself some ice cream and eat it out of my special baseball helmet cup while I watch each episode.

That made me LOL in real life. As someone who doesn't mind BL, I rather they didn't have the balant subtext. I like to fangirl over something that's more of a guilty pleasure.

From the trailer, looks like this is produced in HD. At the end they shown a short scene of the first season, the inking looks alot thicker then the new footage. I wonder are they going to release BDs?
