Hot damn, that's awesome! I hope the testers get to fight a multi-monster battle eventually.

And, in such a case, would it be possible to players to be clever and bait the monsters into fighting each other? I am reminded of Doom 2's 20th level, which at one points dumps you in an arena with a Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind - you have to bait them into fighting each other, then kill the weakened survivor.

By the way, after both are dead, an Arch-Vile shows up. You want to kill that ASAP.

You could do that in older MH too, it was just wasn't as effective. Monsters don't seem to do as much damage to each other in the same period of time as a Hunter can. Especially if they're the type that like to move (fliers, rammers, leapers, etc).

BTW, has there been a normal Lancer gameplay video yet? Curious whether both guardLancer and evadeLancer are still viable or if one got killed.

A surprising development; bonus points if the complete range of HZD aesthetic options found their way in, too.

Tried the beta for PS+ users this weekend.

As someone who never played any other MH beside the first one, it's been pretty awesome despite many features not available in the beta.

While a lot of things have been streamlined and made more intuitive with on screen displays, there's still plenty of things under hood for me to learn (like which part can be broken, weak points, combos outside the tutorial, monsters behavior and tendency.

So far, i seem to lean towards

sword & shield for mobility and utility
gunlance for the booms (though switch axe came close 2nd)

not too keen on the ranged stuff as i don't feel the rush when i m not in there to tango with the beasties.

Biggest BS ever! PC version launches in fall 2018, that is like half a year later. Basically the only version that doesn't need subscription fees gets it last...

PC version always comes later. Most likely like Nier Automata and Sonic Mania before it, they want to address piracy issues by adding DRM features like denuvo as part of the "optimization" process.

Half a year delay for a PC port is pretty reasonable. I'm surprised that they took the risk of porting it to PC though considering this generation of console uses similar architecture as the PC, it's probably the easiest generation to go cross platform.
