Does anyone know where to find a place that puts Japanese words in romanji into Japanese characters?
For starters, I would like to know what the Japanese word 'Youko' is in Japanese characters. It is Youko as in 'Youko Kurama' from Yu Yu Hakusho. I know it is different from the typical Japanese name Yoko. Could someone translate that to Japanese characters? And hopefully someone can direct me to a site that translates words into the Japanese written system.

That would be rather difficult, as there are usually multiple readings for romaji.
The only method I know of sorry is to type in JP the romaji of the word you're looking for then scroll through the possibilities, maybe using google/dictionaries if you're still unsure. I believe any online resource would operate on a similar basis (laying out all the possible spellings). Btw what you're looking for is 妖狐.

The greater challenge, I find, is to translate kanji into English, rather than the other way round. |

If we could invent a system to do that for us, we wouldnt need translators anymore...LOL
I agree that scrolling through the possible kanji on a dictionary/ word processor is the only way to go. Thats how most Japanese find kanji that they cant write. Also "youko" in this case is a name but also points to a magical/ monster fox, so unless you knew that, it would have been hard to identify the kanji characters even if you had the list of kanji in front of you. |

Btw, I'm not sure what たゆたう means. I have heard it before, but I don't really know what it means.

^ Firstly, I have no experience in translating songs, nor any knowledge on any artistic use of words in the lyrics.
I just look at the line with たゆたう, and I think 'fleeting' goes with 'heart', going by the verse break. たゆたう means 'swaying' which should go together with 'screaming voice'. |

also, "swaying flame" may be better if you translate it as "flickering flame", but apart from those small stuff, this is great translation! |

How about SoraOto's Astraea's character song, "Fool in the Labyrinth".
I think this site has a kanji option in case you have any doubts about the romaji used here. I'll add the English translation to that site, along with the translator's username. |

So it is German. Thank you.
By the way, I got another question for our more knowledgeable Japanese users. So in the book that I am reading, the author uses the word "濡れた" quite a few times, like "濡れた唇” or "濡れた目", but the girl is taking a bath at the time, so should I understand 濡れた as "wet" or do you use the word in general situation, say just a girl with moist lips?

There are probably dictionaries and romaji converters that would do the trick, though.

That's "boku", another version of "I"/"me". Generally used by adolescent boys or tomboyish girls.
