Ah, so vote-splitting shouldn't be a factor then. Thanks for the info.

I'm kinda busy now so I might translate the results later if nobody else is doing it. But I'm happy that Rozen Maiden does have some strength in them this year, DESU top the group along with Kyouko Sakura and two other Love Live girls Maki Nishikino and Eli Ayase.

Well...did horrible this round (4-6-0)...

1. 4-way tie for first. Kyoko, Eri, and Maki doesn't surprised me, but DESU does. Looks like you can't just ignored Rozen Maiden even when the new series isn't exactly that popular.
1a. While I'm at the result, seeing how LL and Madoka finish quite a bit ahead of the rest of the pack makes Mokkan victory even more impressive.
2. Speaking of old guards, Nipah qualified, so did Hina even though Hayate popularity drops off a cliff...
3. Saki...well, here comes the like of 5-second appearance of Naruka or random commentators like Risa nearly qualifying...

For next round...
Spoiler for E3:

No major LL girls in this group. Tons of Saki girls (including Toki...). Then there are Homuhomu and Kuroneko...

At the end, Yuno FTW.

Yeah that really surprised me too. And DESU didn't even have as much presence as Shinku and Suigintou in the new series. I have some hope for Suigintou now

How dare the chibi meguca and the chibi idols get as many votes as me desu! - declared Suiseiseki after the results were announced.

I'm really glad Suiseiseki did so well. 1st place, even if it's in a 4-sided tie, it's amazing. I would have been satisfied with a 5th place. Now I wonder if the other dolls can also reach these heights or if it's just desu because desu desu.

The Love Live! continue to show that they are on a whole other level compared to last year, which is good of course.

Kyouko's result is comparable to that of Madoka yesterday, but is this the real strength of the puella magis or are they just "faking it" and will go full power once the main phase starts?

The Sakis look strong now already. Is this the effect of Zenkoku-hen? Tomorrow there's a boatload of them including some mains like Toki, Saki, Shizu, Jindai, Awai and others. If I'm not mistaken, the most characters that Saki has ever qualified in a single prelim group is 4. I wouldn't be surprised if they break this record tomorrow.

It could be interesting if it becomes a close match between Toki, HomuHomu and Kuroneko.

To be honest Desu at first didn't surprise me, Desu being first is a good sign for Suigintou and Kirakishou though. I hope that is the MadoMagi's true strength I don't want an another MadoMagi dominant Saimoe.

Well, this year seems to be shaping up to at least somewhat interesting.

Hmm, guess I'll have to watch some Love Live! I'm not big on idol shows, but it looks like it might be a major part of this tournament.

Also wondering, is someone planning to make a spiffy graphic chart for the main tournament? The usual person seems to have retired.

2006 & 2007 Champions are: IN

Well can we get the 'Is My year' signs out of storage for Hina's inevitable run into round two-group finals oblivion?

My Top 10 for Preliminary 1-7:
Spoiler for Preliminary 1-7:

It seems Rozen Maiden has still got it. This technically makes the repeat winner problem worse, though.

I'm trying to get a code from the link on this page, but it seems that every time I load it, I always get the コード発行制限中。。。しばらく待って。 message. Has anyone gone through this before and know of a way at least to increase the chances of eventually getting through?

At least I'm getting better at doing their CAPTCHA, since they make me do it every time I try.

It seems like your IP is banned to me. You might be able to around it with a proxy but I imagine it'll be difficult to find one that works.

If Rozen still wields power, but repeat winner is to be avoided, then can Suigintou win 2015 ?

Suigintou victory is a victory I can get behind.

Yes a Tanaka victor, five years after the Kugimiya victory (09) would make a nice Rie-touch.

I wouldn't mind Rozen Maiden winning again. It's been long enough, and it would be interesting.

I don't think it's realistic, though. Nor do I think the new series is deserving.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to find another computer with another connection (not proxy) that works.

I only had to wait an hour in my case (it did the request starting 14:58, and the code was ready 15:58), so I guess I was lucky with my timing.

The CAPTCHA is a bit hard to work with. Sometimes it spits out things that don't even remotely resemble Japanese kana. My guess is that (han)dakuten is not used, but I am still not sure about the small kana forms.

Spoiler for My E3 votes:
Hopefully my vote counts. Only one way to find out now.

the code always ready at XX:58 so if you starting at about XX:20, you would reduce the waiting time. But if you start at XX:31, you have to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes
