Well there's actually a lot of potential with DmC's world, espeically when they have such a stylish character. To be honest you can still see some of Dante's "flare" in the trailer when he used that demon's eye to put out his cigarette.

It's not just about the hair, it was obvious from me from the start of the trailer they're gonna give it back with the over lapping white images. It's either going to be in the gameplay or as the story progresses. Reminded me of Jason Todd the 2nd Robin who in Earth103 had red hair and dyed it black, now it's canon to the Batman storyline.

If you play Heavenly Sword and some of their previous games, a lot of their core competencies are in line with what makes Devil May Cry special. They seemed like a natural fit.

Sometimes i wonder why people bother to reboot a series at all, i mean it is ok if the original team tries to do it, but getting external people just ends up in a cock up. Just have a look a Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero, how they try to rewrite Jona Dark's history, which ended up being completely weird. Instead capcom should have told ninja theory to create a new IP for them, although capcom seems to have bad luck with foreign created new IPs lately.
