Speaking of episode 07, did anyone notice Touru & Natsuki (from the first episode) in the park? I knew we'd end up seeing them later on in this series, though i do wonder if anymore of that will be explained.

I think one of the radio shows had mention that if sales did well enough, they would possibly attempt an OVA for the team in episode 1. Here's hoping,

I noticed that they've also planned a character cd release for Kagura/Yomi beyond the Image Album. It's volume 1, so more may be planned for the future, which makes me happy. The first release looks to be due out in February according to CD Japan.

What a sad sad sad episode.

So apparently Yomi is still alive! But, looks like her exorcism days are numbered. Not only that but she's left with a large amount of scars, can't speak, and is laid up in a hospital bed for the entire episode.

To make matters worse it seems everyone except Kagura completely abandons her. Nori doesn't have the decency even to visit my poor Yomi! The marriage between her and Nori is called off by Nori's father from what I gather in the scene between them. Yomi is only able to cry and try in vain to protest because of her inability to speak.

In the end butterfly boy arrives to implant the stone after Kagura leaves Yomi alone in the hospital. After some usual Ga-rei type fanservice and some butterfly boy taunting Yomi goes over to the darkside and escapes from the hospital.

Looks like next episode might be the continuation from Episode 2. I hope Yomi Kills them all!

Ueeh... Super depressing episode, where we see the aftermaths of the needle rain... As expected of anime, she somehow managed to survive. What's the chances of that, .00001%?

But she gets disabled in various areas and left to suffer... And it doesn't help that Nori's father just has to tell her about the broken arranged marriage at a time where she was most vulnerable...

That's about the whole episode, really. Everyone (almost)'s reactions... It was too sad, especially the Kagura-Yomi scene before Mitagawa appears...

And as always, the anime likes breaking the tension of the anime by making scenes needlessly erotic... ( -_-)

AHH!... The ED... Yomi doesn't turn around and Kagura doesn't appear...

Preview: ...Ah-ah, now Yomi is going to go and kill of Tooru and Natsuki again...

Let's think about the other people's positions too. No matter how you look at it, their actions weren't wrong, from their position, not knowing anything and able to do anything about it. And by far were most from abandoning her.

I've been watching this show for the tragedy and killing so even if they did support her completely I'd still want them all to die! I support good and evil Yomi in everything she does. The more sad and unexpected things that happen the more I love this show.

Yes, that show is a tragedy.
What is good is that evil Yomi will kill all those dastardy tradition bounds elders who rejected her.
So Kagura won't have to it herself and will enjoy more freedom than Yomi as they will need every personal after Yomi's murder rampage.

Watching episode 9 now and it's not even 10 mins into the show and already I'm starting to feel depressed by the episode.

this episode is heavy in dialogue with no battle scene (save for flashbacks), but from what i can gather from it...

* competent paramedics to the rescue! by the grace of medical science, Yomi's life is saved.
* time for damage assessments. vocal chord: destroyed. this means Yomi can't summon Shishi-ou. hand bones structure: screwed. Yomi can't even grip the sword, let alone use it to fight evil spirits. leg bones structure: screwed. say good bye to le parkour with which to move about in urban structures. for that matter, she can't even walk. right eye: destroyed. dont even think about exorcism, getting by in life will not be easy. and with that much wound marks, she can't go through life without people throwing cruel remarks to her.
* Noriyuki's arrangement with Yomi is furiously thrown out of the window. and that's about as polite as possible a way to explain it . Noriyuki is not even allowed to see Yomi again even if he want to. why would he be allowed? Yomi is just a literally *short pause* damaged good that's not worth anything.
* basically, Yomi's exorcist career is over. that means just about everything to her. her ties to the families are through her job. she can't expect shelter from the remaining Isayama, as Mei's father is obviously blaming her --ironically rightfully-- for Mei's death, and want Yomi out no matter what. if he can get away with killing her, he would kill her. good thing he still respect Kagura. kind of say something about the cutthroat (no pun intended) atmosphere in the families.
* in this maelstrom of emotional torment, the only one who stay with her is Kagura. but even Kagura can't stay with her forever. the moment Kagura left, this realization hit Yomi like a solid steel hammer to the face.
* and then, Diabolis Ex Machina Mitogawa appear from nowhere and "give back" everything that Yomi lost. fark that, he's responsible for Yomi losing her powers to begin with, and Yomi is believing his snake tongue?!

notes:
- the first time they communicate through cellphone, Yomi wrote "i want to meet Noriyuki".
- the second time Yomi wrote, "gomen nasai, Kagura". Kagura fully trust that Yomi didn't kill Mei as "Yomi will not kill people out of sheer vengeance". which is ironic because it's true.

things that i can't understand:
- Mitogawa's back story that he told Yomi. this is where fansubs come handy
- i can barely understand the Ayame's interrogation. one tick means yes, two ticks means no, right? but which ones are Yomi OK'ing?

things that come to mind:
- no matter what, Yomi is just a kid. she's alone in this predicament with no one to support her but Kagura. she feel betrayed, and her feeling is justified. man, how i feel like giving her a big sisterly hug.

btw, awesome sister-to-sister Kagura-on-Yomi bed scene ... followed by creepy Mitogawa-on-Yomi bed scene. DoNotWant. damn you, Aoki Ei! (i have said this, like, for the tenth times already...)

... the next episode will be uglier than ever in a series where ugly things are done to people.

Ha, I knew all the lighthearted stuff was a buildup for something morbidly depressing. Guess that means no Yomi x Kagura yuri good end....

Nobody tried to investigate or give Yomi some way to communicate better so she ends up in welfare for probably the rest of her life?

I'd change sides too if people left me for dead after fighting for them for so long...

Going by how an unconfirmed kill like Yomi ended up surviving this episode I'd venture Kagura also somehow survives the cut from ep2's end. Maybe her father finally makes an appearance? Anyway the upside with Yomi's bad treatment this episode is that it makes it easy for me to cheer for her as she kills off her former comrades.

Yeah, they're supposed to be fighting to defend us normal humans but the show really only developed my sympathy for yomi so go evil spirits!

guys, guys, dont you realize that by cheering to Yomi's rampage, you're actually supporting Mitogawa's plans? he's so like amplifying the negative emotions and whatnot in people's hearts.

It makes me think that this is the point of the story.We always see villians and label them as "no good evil doers",but most people never wonder why the person is evil to began with.I actually feel sorry for Yomi she was easily my favorite character in the show.

As an adopted daughter, she tried her very best to be accepted by her family & by the exorcist society. All for nothing

Spoiler for Thinking about Yomi:

-The death of her adopted father was enough to have her rejected by her supposed family.
-Her crippling wounds ended her life as an exorcist. She has been discarded as useless tool by the exorcist society.
-Only Kagura cared for Yomi to the end as Yomi and not as the unwanted adopted heir or the outsider exorcist.

But Kagura has every thing while Yomi lost everything and has no more prospect. So a "Wall of non understanding" was erected between those two.

Yomi joining the dark side is foretold.

Is Mitagawa evil? He has a stone so could he be in the same position as Yomi?
