So did Kamito get possessed by Rendoll? And since you said round two, that means Rubia couldn't control him after awakening, right? Finally, what happens to Rubia? Does she die? Please tell me she dies.

...He's too powerful maybe? It's usually that way when people(antagonists generally) open the sealed badass in a can. Though, I say sealed badass because Rubia survived. If it was sealed evil Rubia probably would have been killed on the spot. Though, since I haven't read volume 10 this is mostly me speculating what kind of character Ash rendoll is.

..Then again, it's not like Ash couldn't be sealed good. You never know.

Finally, if it's not any of the above does Ash/Kamito qualify for the following tropes? Either Super powered alter ego or Super powered evil side?

those are all possibilties there is another possibility it could be sealed power awakened and controled by an external source sort of like what happened to yusuke when his demon side first awakened(yu yu hakusho) and this power up he recieved is a permanent thing

I'm more concerned about his connection to the demon king and what he plans to do with Kamito's shadow. Also, was the Dark Elemental Lard explicitly stated or are we inferring that from the existence of the Demon King?

I thought he was going to use it to steal kamitos body that's why I wanted to know if he was beat down later in the volume

Then why would he need a shadow of it that replicated the original's abilities and contracted spirit? Wait, contracted spirit!? That would technically extend to Restia as well!

It was the whole bandersnatch the one who snatches everything and that the body was temporary that made me think he was going to try to steal kamitos body I didn't even tHink about stealing retsia too

Zekkengei are the dual blade art. So Kamito 3 years ago did not use his full potential to win the blade dance.
At last I relief that Kamito (not in demon king mode) defeat Rubia using his own hand. So..
Kamito (Dual wield) full power > stronger > Rubia (Leavantine) full power.
At last we know that Kamito still the Strongest Blade Dance.

BTW that forbiden tech are the last technique that Greyworth teached before Cross Fire at vol. 8? The one that can repel enemy using their own power (the more stronger the enemy, the more damage that they receive).

time for massive speculation
ok now that we know that Kamito might have made a contract with Ren Ashdoll, and Grayworth still preparing for a war? dont think that will be the case probably more like a defensive war with what I'm going to say, chances by the end of the blade dance festival Kamito has no other choice but to kill the elemental lords (As per Restia's AKA Legal Wife wish but not before having their own wishes granted I think Est will really come in handy here), Grayworth preparing since before the blade dance declares that the academy will be a shrine? for Ren Ashdoll and will house Kamito and his "Darkness priestesses" AKA his harem, and then the second? arc begins after all the world already knows Kamito by this time is the heir to the Demon King and that he killed all the elemental lords. Thus a massive war with the Academy against the world starts here. and perhaps something to do with the off nature of the recently held blade dance.
PS: I think Restia obtained the Legal Wife status is that she might be the first female of that cast that got rather intimate with Kamito... heirarchy

But wouldn't that anon lord will have to stab Kamito to take over his body? Sjora was stabbed by 20 ppls with short knives after they called forth lighting (or was it that the lighting was just a natural phenomenon )
