The release schedule is also rather slow. 10 episodes over the course of nearly a year? Is it because of budget limitations? I know this show isn't as popular as To Aru Majutsu no Index (another LN series getting a third season this year) but the implied difference in scale and budget really does make you wonder just how much difference there is in funding between these two LN series' anime adaptations.

I don't think it's because of limitations. They can probably take their time. I mean besides 7/8/10 (whatever happens with them) when this will be finished there will be almost nothing left to animate.

Normally, Kojou gets the tenth kenjuu in the volume 13 (told in the new OVA), it is a monster who can gouvern the mind.
The sixth in the volume 14, it is a valkyrie and the seventh in the 15th volume, a manticore who can manipulate the poison and steal the magical power of other familiars.

The twelfth is still in possession of Avrora, I believe. Her soul is no longer in Nagisa but in a new body, the old body of another kenjuu.

It is difficult to guess. I think no more than 10 volumes because the volume 15 was the end of the first part.

But it seems to have in the last volumes a enemy trying to wake up Cain and who is a prototype of 4th primogenitor. He owns the same kenjuu than Kojou (a black Regulus Aurum for example). It guaranteed a number of possible events.

I was reading various sources about how many volumes they are going to animate and i noticed there are different opinions.
I also managed to find the original tweet by STB_Anime which says:
OVA「ストライク・ザ・ブラッドⅢ」では原作小説第一部"聖殲編"の完結までを描く予定です！続報をお待 ちください！
I used a translator and it seems they want to animate until the first part of the original novel "The Holy war arc" which is volume 15.
So, why are there so many sites stating they will cover until volume 17 (already animated in the tv series)? and why skipping volume 16?

There is a mistake. Not until the first part but the complete "Holy War Arc". So I would assume Vol.16 will also be included. And even if not, they could get back to it later.

Not sure. It kinda looks like it. On the other hand, it's not illogically when you think about it. In comparison to other heroines Yukina is younger than most of them. Her body isn't fully matured, at least I would guess that's the case. Since we don't know how much time has passed by ( I don't) this could be an explanation. Or it's just an illustration mistake.

What's the chance for Strike the Blood to get a full anime adaptation assuming that the author will keep making novels after volume 19? (maybe for a s4)

I would say yes, it is. Until this point it has gotten more than I expected it get back then when the first season ended. Changing it into this OVA format was the best thing that could have happen. I wish more series would consider such an approach to get completer adaptation than having 1 Season and nothing after that (especially if they sell good). And don't forget, we still missing some thing, which should probably get sometime, otherwise it would be weird.

Honestly, if with Cain out of the way the have a lot of potential just like DxD because of how broad the author made the mythology. From what I have gathered Yahweh, aka the Christian/Jewish God and by proxy creator of Cain, is just one of many Deva. Granted Koujou and the fourth progen is supposed to be a way to fight against Cain, allegedly the father of all demons; but if Cain's creator is simply one of many gods, you can always go the dbz route and pull out some newer high villain.

That being said, given we kind of know how it ends, the Emperor of the new dawn, and at least 2 kids approx 20 years from now; depending on how much he wants to build up until that predetermined future he could easily make a bunch more volumes. Hell even if he time skipped to that point in time, he could still continue it from that point. Honestly it all depends on the writer, but once you make a character immortal, long lived, or magical, you can essentially write the story indefinitely if you have enough skill. For God's Sake, Guin Saga is over 130 volumes.
