I especially liked the beginning of the unpacking of Teru's character this episode ... in many ways it felt like she suddenly started to come alive. The introduction of her older sister was very effective, but I must I kinda liked seeing Teru's rival/victim/etc. also get "humanized" a bit not only as regards her interaction with Teru but also herself having a gentle side - shown by the taking in the kitten.
A good episode. If all the EPS can keep pace with this standard this will turn out to possibly be a lovely hidden gem of a series, I think.

I've really enjoyed the first two episodes of this, and I agree with Flower's take on the most recent episode.
I also might have more to say about this show later, but right now there's something I feel compelled to ask other viewers... Is there something odd or embarrassing about the name "Teru"? The "Teru" I'm most familiar with is Teru Miyanaga from the Saki anime, and I certainly don't get the impression that anybody thinks less of her because of her name.

Those cats are mesmerising, their movements are just so extremely smooth. I've already rewatched their scenes a couple of times and I still can't get enough of them. Anyway Teru is awesome, she's stealing the show so far.

Teru (照る) can also mean "shine" or "illuminate" which clashes with her somewhat dark personality. Not teru itself but its kanji, which is also used in her name, can mean "shy" or "embarrassed" which also doesn't really fit her. This one is a bit of a stretch though since tereru (照れる) is what really means that. |

Have to say that adding Sonobe to the cast seems like a nice move. Plus the little Mary Poppins bit at the start was fun .
Goes to show how much of the staff at Yoko's place were weird individuals. But also shows how a great deal of them loved the girl they looked after. Even after her family went under you have Yamaji looking out for Yoko whenever he can spare a moment and even Sonobe giving Yoko a place she can work and make some money. Going the extra mile also in bringing her lunch. While financially Yoko's life is a tough one, at least she's hardly lacking in people that care about her. Another good episode .

Sonobe is a funny character, took me a little while to get used to with the whole maid gimmick but I think she fits into this show well. That brief battle with the kitchen tools was so priceless lol

Must be shocking for those two, Sonobe coming to school like that, knowing her actual age.
And still worried about it afterwards. Sonobe, her advertisement for her shop, it is just too good to be true, so unbelievably effective. Yamaji and Sonobe are mother and father roles for Yoko. Last edited by rladls2121; 2016-04-24 at 20:00. |

I'm kind of surprised how energetic the last two episode are. The first episode was really calm and things, but the following episodes have a more lively tone to them. The first episode really doesn't reflect how bonkers the show really is, definitely a keeper for this season.

Actually, I'm going to disagree with Sam this once and say that Shino isn't Mashiro's prototype, because of the roles they play. Mashiro, for all her cuteness, most of the time reacted to Benio's antics, but as we see here, Shino was an instigator of the gags.
Also, Shino is clearly nuts. Mashiro is just naive. :P

Sonobe the age thirty loli maid that twitches constantly and sleeps with her eyes open and moves like the Batman...
(looks even better in a school dress, she looks just like a regular 15/16 year old girl) (and the flashback proves she's indeed in her thirties and remained unchanged... power of loli grants her eternal youth... and that little Yoko, kawaii) |

Okay. Someone is a great character. Man.
And are all the former servants in Youko's household so ... well ... weird and eccentric? I wonder if other servants will also pop up. Anyway, episode three was another good episode. The series is becoming more enjoyable than I expected it to be. Doga Kobo seems to be nailing it again thus far!
