I kind of understand what you mean, but those people did talk about both the situations.
U need the girl to be tsundere... err i mean to hate the guy at first.

Shakugan no Shana would fit more than Toradora, since guy doesn't fall for her first in toradora, and I wouldn't say Rozen Maiden really fit either. Though MM! fits, it was more of a harem/comedy than romance

Lols so true, but i love Tsundere, its so amusing. So i thought he is same type, just got carried away.

Shakugan no shana is main stream so he must know it already. They have basically tried to rework the magic of Zero no Tsukaima, lols same team and even Rei Kugimiya.

Sounds a bit like Defrosting the Ice Queen, the CLASSIC definition of tsundere.

One that comes to mind is Otome Youkai Zakuro. For the first half of the first ep, the girl crushes on the hero, then she learns that he's just a wuss, not to mention that he's just like all those prejudiced snobs out there who judge her simply because of her race.

Okamisan is very good, though like with many tsunderes she falls for the guy pretty quick, though she can't bear to admit it. Would be interesting to see one where the girl really does hate the guy for a good portion of the story.

Aishiteruze Baby is also good, the girl can't stand the guy at first and the guy starts out deserving it.

Tonagura's a moderate fit, the girl really wants to love the boy but every time she comes close he tries to cop a feel or worse.

Also might mention one of the characters in Shuffle!, Kaede. She's not the ultimate heroine, but her background shows that for a long time she really hated him, to the point that it seemed the only reason she didn't kill him was because she wanted to break him first. Then she made a certain discovery that turned everything upside down...

Other side characters like that are Tsukiumi of Sekirei and Nymph of Sora no Otoshimono.

BTW, do you mean to say that Shakugan no Shana was an attempt to remake the "magic" of Tsukaima, or Toradora? The latter would make more sense, since Shana came before Tsukaima.

Lols! now thats a bummer, wow its the other way round. And I always used to think tsukaima came first. Definitely better animation work in shana, that had me.

yes, I did, XD. I've read a novel called Anne of Green Gables with the same theme and there's an anime about it called "Akage no Anne".
