To tell the truth, I kinda don't want it because I think they better use that budget to start a branch new series instead of rebuild the old one. Maybe because the amount of media I saw about the first Gundam show is too large already that I don't really want to watch it once again. Heck, the only Gundam games that didn't touch Amuro and his beloved RX-78 that I can remember are all Gundam Seed games (like, 3 games?).

I'm just, well, kind of getting sick of it, you know.

I'd prefer them to take the side material and turn it into OVA. If it's TV series, then make something new, even if it's about UC. Up until now, the only UC one that no matter how much I tried, I can't like it is Victory Gundam, and don't ask me why. I don't know either.
I suppose you're right about that. There's already a bunch of milking for the RX-78, can't imagine what it'd be like if the series that started it all got a huge remake.

Victory is actually my favorite of the UC timeline. Though Unicorn is quickly catching up.

I wouldn't mind a remake of MSG if they would also remake that one island episode. The only time I ever watched it was with a very poor quality RealMedia file.

We released the entire series subbed... you can nab a better quality torrent of it if you'd like.

So why do people fight, anyway?
Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

Including the episode 15 island episode? I just found it on Wikipedia, the episode is called "Cucuruz Doan's Island." Because that's what I meant by the poor quality rm (or maybe it was rmvb) file. The other episodes I watched actually had decent quality for their time.

It wasn't great, but I'd rather have it than not have it for a remake.

Fair enough. While it would be nice to see the original remade, I'd much rather see a truly original AU series at this point.

I feel the same way, actually, but for both AU and UC. I like anticipating and then watching a non-remake, non-adaptation, possibly a sequel/prequel/etc. Gundam show. It's good to know that other people have comparable amount of knowledge about the show as you. (Of course, this doesn't include those who read spoilers and/or extra materials or who watched the earlier work if applicable.)

Still, if they were to remake MSG, having that episode would be nice.

This may sound like an odd request, but if the new series is a brand new AU show. One thing I'd want, is more shell firing weapons, and less beam weapons.

Agreed. Good old fashioned projectile weapons would be refreshing. It's actually one of the things I liked about the original AD grunt suits.

What I prefer is an animated series of Crossbone Gundam or a a new super robot Gundam where Okawara could show to the new generation on how far can he go this time. It will be great if the do a crossover with something like G Generation.

Man, I still need to see Victory, I've seen it get some nice reviews.

Gundam 00 is fantastic and got me addicted again along with Unicorn, looking forward to the next Gundam series, whenever that may be.

If they go the UC route, I want either an animated G-Saviour, or a series that takes place in the way late UC timeline.

UC 600s or 700s.

According to past Gundam series announcements and airing dates, the next Gundam series will arrive this summer.

Don't watch it if you're squimish. It's rather... brutal.

I think UC is better suited to OVA and film format.

Either way it should be interesting to see the effect Gundam 00 had on the franchise.

I may be wrong, but we've yet to see a UC TV series completely free of Tomino's directing. Other than that, there's nothing particularly different about UC that would make it less suited for a TV series than any AU series would be.

Those were announced in the Summer of those years. This one is being announced in March, three months later is July.
