Part of the "Lacrima being 500 times more than Jupiter" problem is that the Jupiter in the anime was more powerful than the Jupiter in the manga. The first anime definitely made a lot of Fairy Tail more flashy than the manga (Like those Magic circles). Though even than the blast didn't look THAT strong.

Hmm, I think this week's episode was alright, felt a bit more like a bigger buildup to things to come:
We'll get to see what Zeref will do next time.. Also, glad to see Erza break out and Elfman restored back to normal for now. Go Cana! The excitement of this arc will hit its climax soon. Still getting used to the new ED theme song though. I like the previous one better but this one will do too.

Elfman lost it.
The cards idea was brilliant. Mira prepared a nice surprise for the mad scientist girl. All prisoners are finally free. Things were pretty hectic outside the cube too. Zeref finally showed his face too. Great episode!

I had the feeling that the demon transformation process would backfire on Mira so I had this stupid grin on my face the whole time. It's nice to see Fairy Tail start winning a bit, can't have our heroes loosing for too long now can we?

This is exactly the reason why I decided to collect all my episode and re-edit all of them in Adobe Premiere so they follow the manga more closely, without all the filler/flashback stuff. It's such a shame how they're butchering the anime like this

Finally finished the filler arc, thank god it wasn't as long as the Key of the Starry Heavens (or I'll be damned) and it was much better written than it.
The next stand alone episodes were really good, I'd say the way they were written are on par with the first few seasons of the anime. Even the filler stand alone ones were very enjoyable and I had a handful of good laughs. Now I'm on the second episode of the Tartaros arc. I dont know about what others think but the quality of the episodes seemed to have improved for me. Also the pacing is just right IMO, and the previews are not that overly long. I'm getting hooked to the anime again after all this. If I'm not mistaken, are we getting an OVA this week? Something about punishment games? (From the GMG I presume?)

Two yandere faces in a single episode this week!
That's a good buildup for an upcoming fight. I'm definitely looking forward to this one although we'll probably see more of Wendy next time based on the PV.

And even though nothing is spoiled in the preview, it's almost a shame you can sort of tell at the end what that which could have been spoiled. But I'm more worried about what the next OP will give away.

I think the current OP will be use for the remainder of the arc though, there's nothing else to spoil from the current op. |
