Let's all just hope this game won't do well, that the series will fall into oblivion for the next five years, and that Platinum Games will be the next studio to pick it up again.

I saw this game on the shelves today, I went to pick up the case to look at the back (always do that) but I got what felt like a paper cut when I held it in my hand, must have cut myself on that edge.

Wait, if the only positive thing of DMC4 is it's gameplay, pray tell what did DmC do so right that makes it a solid title while the former is only mediocre?

The script is so horrendous it's hilarious. That's about the most positive thing I can say about this game.

Itsuno and the team were too busy with Dragons Dogma. It's his dream game. There was no one for a new DMC. He also basically said that the DMC series is too stale and Capcom outsourced it to NT because of their quality story telling and to do something new.

I agree with Rueben with his interview. I also do not like the direction of the character, I tired the game, I personally didn't like the gameplay as well.

It's for the casuals, but I don't think that's inherently a bad thing despite what people might think. I myself missed out on alot of games in my childhood-teen age, so I know trying to get into these long series with relatively long history can be quite intimidating.

That being said however, aren't they looking down on casuals too much? When I first played Ninja Gaiden 2 I had no idea that the game had a reputation for being tough as nails- I just assumed that I sucked at it But eventually I still completed the game. Being a casual doesn't mean they can take a challenge.

that's the reason why games need a little challenge, to better you and step up your game.

The sad thing is DMC wasn't even a difficult game.

That's why I see where ppl come from when they say the combat is more accessible and streamlined for casuals and ppl new to the series. Then again I also agree that they should also keep experienced players in mind when considering gameplay depth and overall challenge.

Kinda like what the original games did easy and easy automatic mode.

Hmm, this should be the tagline for DmC: DmC, The Ultimate Test of Bros before Hoes, which one will triumph?

Personally, I don't really care too much about all the others, but they should have made Dante Number 2 imo...

I don't think anyone would argue that Except maybe Dante from DMC4 but even then it wasn't as epic as Vergil's final boss fight.

I would definitely argue that. :O
Nevan and Beowulf from DMC3 need the top two spots. Not even having them on the list is a crime.
