Script/Translation Checker here.
My priority is to translate Emma Second Act. Any groups doing it? I will be able to go through a QUALITY translation group. I believe accuracy is more important than speed (speed being 1 or 2 days later subbing speed, crazy people!)
if nobody, then I am available for script checking/editing for these current shows: Terra e, OverDrive, Darker than BLACK, Romeo x Juliet. and maybe Seto no Hanayome, Hayate no Gotoku, Heroic Age. send me a PM if you guys need help for QUALITY Script Checking. background: took 3 years of Japanese in college, translated for almost 2 years H2 manga back in 95-97 (as it came out weekly), worked as an interpreter for a toy company traveling to china/korea/japan for 1 year, and latest fansub was EMMA script checking for episodes 3-11... i think. happy subbing ya'll. So we still need a lot of positions filled. As before, you dont have to be an expert but you need to know the basics for each job at least. On the plus side, the language they use is fairly easy except for those complex sentences that they speak once in a while. We have most of the original members so you can expect dedication. We have every post covered except for (guess) translator. I am also willing to "exchange" members (I can do raw, edit, qc). We also have the manga raw available if needed.

Timer \ basic typesetting and stylizing \ basic translation (bare bones basic dont expect me to translate a full episode please) person here looking for some work yet again. This time around I'm gonna post my preferences so I don't end up in a group I don't want to be in. I'm looking to be hired by a group that wants me as MAIN timer and is not gonna stick me on backup on every project. all my other skills I don't mind working as backup seeing as they are only BASIC skills in that field. I'd like to have a say in what i'm subbing but that is NOT a deciding factor of if I will work for you. I will pretty much work on anything. I am able to time 1 full ep scene timed and all in about 5 hours after receiving the script. I add lead-ins and lead outs and i'm very consistent and accurate with my subs. So IM me if your interested in recruiting me I know I may sound like an asshole but you gotta trust that I'm not I've just had a few bad experiences with joining groups when I post a for hire post on this forum and don't wanna end up in that situation again.
