Crunchyroll has the regular version up now. There's also a troll/cartoony version that aired today. (same plot just different animation style)

His choice was pretty rational at the end, the typical kind mc would just giver her courage and the normal I protect you, this one was right and she is useless right now.

His call is probably right, just not necessarily for the right reasons. More for personal thrills and honestly him appearing to have a screw loose than any rational thought.

Besides the real rational thought would be that even with one hand that her threat level is still higher than his. Getting her over her mental blocks in a fight is going to raise their chance success than him powering up while basically not having any useful weapons and a problematic class.

It's not a bad idea to leave a person behind in town while training and rotating that way since it does leave them a way to avoid catastrophe. Well in theory since if anyone gets eaten they aren't coming back. There is time. But if he just focuses solely on leveling himself not sure they'll pull this off in time.

I hope the anime does the manga justice. What attracted me in the manga is that although the configuration of the story was already worn out, the narrative, the characters and the situations are not what you see in this type of configuration. I think once I even thought that this series would be what you would have if you stuck Konosuba and Gantz in the blender.

I look forward to the next episodes.

Say that to all the goblins he killed and all the goblins she didn't.

If they could have, maybe by now they would have. Or at least shown some progress.

There's more than one series where the villager turns out to be badass.

Yeah, there is literaly no way for her to be useful (well, maybe aside acting as bait and getting eaten). In 9 cases of 10 she would be nothing but burden. There is also no evidence Yusuke was acting irrational just because he somewhat enjoyed his situation.

This occurred to me too. Why are they even traveling together if that means risking actual death? The rational solution here would be to leave one person in town so the other two can die as much as they want - assuming they don't need to be in range for revival to work.

Also kind of bothers me that they just assumed this without even trying to check anything. What would happen if the protagonist killed the warrior girl, would her hand grow back? They could also check if they only revive while in range if the hand grows back, which could invalidate the 'being eaten is different' hypothesis. If it works like a game, chances are she's just not reviving because the living party members are out of range.

Interesting twist on the premise. Loved the juxtaposition of how beautiful and athletic Shindou is in real life, but is still a lowly wind wizard in the game.

MC was right tactically to suggest leaving the warrior girl in the village, but at the end of the episode his own selfishness took over. That's the way he's written right?

This one has some promise to me, will watch a few more to see how this goes.

I'd say the second episode was much stronger. It didn't overhaul everything, but it did give the main character a bit of a push forwards. Took our lead closer to respectability while also keeping his frustrations in place. He was content hating that town and his feelings about the people around him in general. Never really trying to change anything himself. And in the end he stepped up and the day was won. Not simply by himself, but his actions connected towards a 'team win.'

A heavier backstory to Kusue than I expected. Never being all that healthy and that being a financial burden on her family. So much of one that they gave up on having a second child when they really did want one. Never even having the luxury of pushing herself normally with her health so delicate. This world is a chance to push herself. But going from what life is like normally to a front line warrior in this world is a massive gap to cross. She will have to improve for them to handle things that are coming, but Kusue knows that.

A pretty dire reminder that just leaving someone behind while grinding isn't a guarantee that things will work out.

It all worked out fine this time though. Hopefully the levels gained will help going forward.

Even for readers of the manga, the meaning of this name is difficult to understand.

It is 1.000.000 but in japanese you count not by 1000 but by 10.000 so it sounds close to how we say 100.000. So 100.0000?

Disappointing. On a dime he turned into a basic protagonist.

Mmm chef job is actually a rare and useful job, I belive since they are so small in the roulette they are going to be more powerful and useful than the generic mage and warrior jobs.

Please, do not make the mistake of thinking it all ended there, you are missing out on a great experience.

About the episode, I'm enjoying the production so far, nothing extraordinary, but quite far from being so bad. I hope the quality at least remains.

Just what is your definition of a "basic protagonist"? I've heard people complain so much about "standard protagonists", but with how broadly the claim is used I sometimes wonder just where that line is being drawn. Given the how much is going on with this guy, what do you mean someone who actually wants to help people? Someone who doesn't give up? Because it definitely can't mean someone without personality or depth.

On a different note, I'm curious as to just what made him the way he is now. It's pretty clear he moved here from a much more rural location, and that back there he'd actually been brighter and more outgoing, with a whole group of friends. Something tells me that bear encounter was a big part of it. Like, while he still holds the convictions that led him to stand and protect his friends he was disillusioned by the fact that they ran and left him to be eaten. I could imagine losing faith from something like that, and getting taken away from them immediately afterward at his lowest point could indeed have broken him in a way. Either way, ten to one says he's not the one Shindo was talking about. Wouldn't be surprised if at least one falls for him eventually, but for the moment it makes far more sense for a popular girl to have a thing for a popular soccer star than the quiet, dark loner she hardly knows. Also wouldn't be surprising to eventually find out that the "cool" Yotsuya isn't as great as everyone says.
