Why does this look like Godlike's? He showed me a signature he was working on and I wanted to play with it. So I did. 4 or so months off really have dulled whatever skill I once had (which wasn't much to begin with). Anyway, his is better. Just wanted to post this so my 15 minutes wouldn't be in vain.

Oh, I've been here. lol I just don't do anything. Way too much work. I actually JUST completed a Soifon signature and then I didn't like it so I scraped it. In any case I'd rather just view work from people like yourself (people with actual "skillzzzz").

That makes no sense. lol Fun and skill are completely unrelated in the sense that you speak of. You can have skill and not have fun, vise versa, what have you. Fun in this sense is an adjective while skill is a noun. Point being, skill is ALWAYS involved in Photoshop (or lack thereof). Fun is not, but on AS I'm almost positive that's why people Photoshop.

Photoshop is not a skill.
Photoshoping IS a skill.

totally agree - i wouldn't do it if i didn't enjoy it. But there are some who have no fun, but the skill - they still lack that certain something that makes the finished product a little bit more awesome. But there's also those with less skill and lots of fun and they're always wanting to improve and their work always ends up a little bit nicer - even if its just in a sentimental way... if it makes sense.

I like to think i'm the type with more fun than sense.... uhhh i mean skill! lol

Description: Have them render out Ulquiorra and Orihime's hands form the top right panel of page 23, chapter 353.

Spoiler for In case you can't color, here is color moment:

Resize and color them is it makes it look better.

For the background, I'd like something to do with stars (for the Tanabata theme). Here is a texture I was particularly enamored with, but anything will do if it's got something to do with nighttime/stars/Tanabata. (click)

Place the hands on either side of the banner, slightly nearer to the bottom. I want red text, to compliment the dark background, with the words 'The 2009 UlquiHime Tanabata Celebration and Contest'. This is kind of meant to be an advertisement of sorts, so mention that the text should be placed artfully, in a nice but readable font.

And that should hopefully be it... I honestly don't care too much about the small details, so long as everything above is carried out.

Tanabata is a Japanese holiday. Something to do with the stars I believe.

What's being asked for, is the hands made into a transparency, then put over a background with stars.

It's not a competition it's a celebration. It's just like making a sig. Except it will have text that says "'The 2009 UlquiHime Tanabata Celebration and Contest" and be a bit larger than the size limits of this forum

It's just like the banners that you made for Ryokara...(Sure you don't want to give a try?)

Here's my take on it, Amirali. I'm not actually sure I followed your instructions to the letter. I colored the hands myself (I don't really like massacring other people's work, haha) and used a different star background that I altered.

I have to admit the typefont left me very dubious. I don't really like red, and I've never bothered downloading any fonts off the net. After a bit of tinkering with it, I think I found something that didn't look too.. huh, nooblike?

Anyways, enough talking:
