Also, it is hilarious that the dark chefs from underground cooking society trying to enslave the chefs with a self-imposed shokugeki and even funny that those adults accepted it and abide the deal completely. The heck.

The reason why is Shokugeki works in Tootsuki is because it was a part of the school rule. There is no reason why should adult chefs should follow it unless the authority or the court demands it.

The series has possibly jumped the shark with this chapter. It all depends on how the matter will be handled (hope they're just trying to have some fun), and how long this arc will last. The premise is ridiculous as hell, a freaking society of evil chefs

The whole thing is a callback to the first chapter. Back then, some sharks wanted to shut down Soma's family shop because it fell short of their standards.

Except this time is going to be Megumi the one to teach that guy a lesson.
