Episode 1:
After seeing the first episode in more details..I have to admit, this was underwhelming The animation quality looks like crap, character designs can hardly be taken seriously (I think the show is self-aware in someways), while there's some references (666, number of the Beast) related to demons/devils. Only that cliffhanger so far has my interest. Felt like a load of stuff happened during the first episode.

What the hell did I just watch?
Character desing is pretty bad, the VA's work is below average, the story doesn't show any kind of sense and just throw random stuff all over the place. The only detail that makes me consider giving this series 2 more episodes was the end. |

Haven't watched this episode yet, but the director in charge is Kyouhei Ishiguro. I can tell from having watched Your Lie in April and Lance n' Masques that he likes to make the use of comedy as high and zany as possible even in the middle of serious moments.

It isn't even the comedy that is an issue, it is the overall direction that is extremely jarring. With the non stop screen flashing and the lengthy monologue etc, I thought it was a series directed by Shinbou within not even 3 min.
To make things worse, the series doesn't really introduce properly the characters nor the setup aside of the fact there are some major screwed up stuff. For a first episode, it doesn't really give a rough idea of what's going on and doesn't give room for the audience to compute who is who and what to expect. If the next episodes keep the same breakneck pacing and eccentric direction, I'll surely drop that series without a second thought.

You know what, I've been wanting to watch something 'busy' as of late. This hits the spot just right. I rarely go into anything these days with expectations and it looks like it'll deliver on entertainment value alone. I'm sure it'll get better in terms of plot cohesiveness and what not in a couple more episodes. A lot of these sorts of shows start off seemingly messy. But I don't know it's fun and I need something to watch like this so there we go.
Only gripe being the character designs and animation are a little meh but oh well.

Terrible first episode I would say.
MC is annoying as hell and his exposition throughout the entire episode was grating and frustrating to listen too. MC's busty and genki girl is laughably bad as well. I'd have to admit it's impressive how the studio manages butcher her characterization within the first minute of her introduction. The flow and pacing is also a mess. MC spouting rapid fire exposition, to the rapid change in POV, to the obnoxious cuts between shots all made this abundantly clear how weak the direction is. You'll be lucky if you register anything you see or hear in this episode. Reminds me of Durarara, but the show seems unable to manage a coherent narrative long enough without getting bored before immediately moving on to something different.

The animation is so bad I'm not sure I can keep watching this .. and I'm only couple minutes in. WTF is with their noses when the characters are at certain angles? It somehow really annoys me.
Spoiler for What is that?!:
And what is with those boobs? Being busty is one thing (which I'd already dislike), but her boobs are fucking massive. Yeah no, can't deal with this. Likely dropped.

Ep 01
You know, it seems this would probably be a much more interesting story in manga format. But as it is? It feels super rushed, sloppy and haphazard and ... tbh kinda trying to "pose" at how slick and cutting edge and cool or whatever it is. Not my thing either.... Dropped.

Was not expecting monster boobs from the initial trailer. Can't believe I'm saying this, but calm your tits A-1. Even Sugu wasn't this blatant
As for the show itself, it's literally all over the place. The gory part at the end of the episode had no impact whatsoever because of all the haphazard cuts. The director needs to focus less on imitating Shaft and more on establishing a consistent tone. I'll give this one more episode, but if it's just more balloon tits and bad editing then I'm out. Step it up A-1, even Keijo is making you look bad.
