yeah but not superior to "SSB+Kaihokenx10, in later "rematch" goku and hit where matched and the fight ended in a draw.

If they want the tournament to look good, they pretty much need some filler here and there so that the actual good animators will have time to do all the action cuts. Sure, the inevitable "Trunks and Goten protecting the island"-episode will probably be a shoddily animated snore, but if it means the action we do get in the tournament is good, I'd say it's a worthwhile tradeoff.

Krillin's elimination is no big deal, he'll just get teleported out of the ring and will watch the rest of the tournament from the audience. His fault for using a deadly technique like the kienzan in a tournament where killing is not allowed.

I'm more shocked that Kale will get one shotted by Jiren.

Yeah, Kienzen is a pretty risky maneuver to use in this tournament. I bet he tries to use it thinking he'll be able to corner his opponent, but he didn't bet on his opponent pulling a Napa. Of course, in this instance the 'Napa' didn't have a 'Vegeta' to yell at him.

Kale will apparently show off a lot of stuff before getting taken down by Jiren, but I wonder how many opponent's she'll ring out and how many she'll just KO so that they might get up later. After all, the berserk thing makes it so that she might not be thinking about the rules all that much.

Speculation is that he doesn't just 'almost' kill someone, but that he does kill someone, which is not allowed per tournament rules.

honestly speaking in don't see too much of a trouble or crap writing they become ssb, it's not like "only goku can do that", if vegita was able to achiev then any pure sayan so far have the same potential to do and don't forget sayans from universe 6 are overal more evolved and strong than sayans from universe 7 since they not get almost extincted by frost, they race had more than enough time to improve, also another fact is which kaulifla is a prodigy like goku or she could be the "goku" from her universe giving her the same talent to achiev high levels fast and kale is the "legendary sayan", then they being able to reach it for me don't look like a bs at this point, could be the same if frieza never had destroyed the sayan planet we could had ended with a lot of supersayans and some more blue super sayans, all its matter is evolution, talent, desire and efforts.

Well, I do not want Universe 6 saiyans to go SSB though tingly feeling on their back.
Goku and Vegeta had to go though hellish training to reach that level, it not something Caulifla should get for free.
It is something that Pokemon writer would do.
If she want to go blue then she should trainer under Vados for long time

Just because Caulifla wants to learn the transformation doesn't mean Goku will teach her. It would be incredibly dumb to make your opponent stronger in a fight that will decide the fate of your universe. I know Goku is a battle maniac but still. Even if he did try, Vegeta or Gohan would stop him.

He has done some pretty dumb stuff in the past, for example:

He gave Cell a Senzu Bean pretty much restoring him back to full power and giving him a zenkai boost. He let Frieza live... half alive but still, he was going to just walk away, heck, he promised to let him use the dragon balls. He could have defeated fat Buu but wanted Trunks and Goten to do it instead, we all know how that ended up. He put all universes at risk because he wanted to fight stronger opponents, that is literally his goal in this arc, don't put it past him.

yeah if anything we learned on Z and specially in Super is which goku really is not a "hero model" and he really don't care about others(at last not that much as he was supposed to care), he saw everything as a excuse to have battle and fight strong enemies even at the cost of training others to reach it.

Remember even during frieza ressurection goku asked to frieza to stop killing peoples and train with him because he recognized frieza as a potential rival like vegita.

toryama really did a good job in transform goku from a good shounen hero to a trash battlemaniac anti-hero, at this point is being "naive" and think which goku "not gonna do that", based on what he already did so far in Z and super, is almost expected he do that, if he recognize the potential in caulifla and kale then he obvious gonna do that for the sake of "have strong oponents".

They pretty much dug their own grave by concentrating everything on Universe 7 fighters. Even Freeza and Android 18 contributed by taking their fighters down (well, Freeza was just being a sadist lol).

If Mr Satan was in Universe 7 team then he would bring victory for them since he would be running and hiding till the very end (even if people found him he would be ignored like usual due to being too weak).

And that smirk from the Angel of Universe 9. Perhaps the Angels are the actual antagonists of this series. Or it was a smirk because U9 wasnt really destroyed.
So Krillin really is going to get disqualified if we take the spoilers is true. So Android 18 will be cornered by Frost huh.
