So, regardless of who pulls the trigger - who should we consider responsible for a convict's death? The judge who sentences him/her to death or the executioner who pushes the button/electric switch?

Either way, it's Lelouch who drives her to her doom. From here it's impossible for her to go back to normal. Death might be the only thing to thwart the (possibly) stronger Geass.
Well here's hoping that Suzaku pulls the trigger for great storytelling purposes!

P.S.: All my Euphie hate stems from last episode and last episode alone.

The concept seems interesting enough, but the execution (no pun intended) is what has me worried...seems a bit too convenient.

Can't really tell for sure until I watch this myself or a detailed summary shows up, but at first glance it seems that Lelouch didn't entirely realize the full consequences of what he had done, or did he? Her eyes did display the "Geassed" effect, after all.

If he had, one thinks he could have at least tried to, say, knock her out before things got too out of hand (unless guards suddenly came out of nowhere or something similar).

Well upgraded Geass does wonders ( in a bad way )

And yeah. I do wonder how he'll cope with it.

lelouch is weak. he probably tried to grab her, she pushed him aside, and then she rushed outside (with the gun) to do the whole "I NOW PRONOUNCE MYSELF THE SUPREME LEADER OF THE UNITED STATES OF MYSELFIA. COMMENCE WITH THE KILLING OF THE REDHEADS!" bit.

Lelouch isn't weak enough to be tossed around by the likes of Euphemia (physically that is).

I gotta say, nice pictures and VERY interesting episode.

My guess:

That sounds rather more reasonable, at least thus far, so thanks for the info.

That being the case, I guess he probably would have needed to call the rest of the Black Knights and sic them on her, but by then the bloody chaos had already begun anyways.

Of course, I suppose he was still a bit too confused/surprised to be making quick decisions either...and that makes for a better cliffhanger, this being anime and all.

well, I don't think they actually can see the Geass symbol. remember during the initial testing back in episode 3?

neither the teacher nor Kallen noticed the symbol when he tried to use it on them a second time. not sure why, but it is in the anime.

Geass can't possibly be audience-only. Lelouch recognized Mao's eyes as having Geass and Shirley looked and acted as if she saw the symbol in his eyes before getting mind wiped.

maybe it's only visible before he uses it on you then. or maybe only Mao's are visible (shirley didn't really react to the appearance of the symbol as much as Lelouch ending his apology)

but then again, if you see it, you have to obey Lu's command. I dunno, just pointing out one of the possibilities the writers have left themselves. ¯\(º_o)/¯

Keep in mind that Lulu is a geass user himself.
Mao's symbol may not be visible to normal people, and Lulu is not a normal human being anymore.
