The theme of the machine was actually inspired by alice in wonderland. A rabbit obssessed with time, only this one is black, mean, can manipulate time(in a sense) and has one heck of a carrot

As for Regen, it seems like the least upgradable--2nd Shift wise.

Well, with no more novels coming out (Supposedly), all of the established canon so far is the only one we're going to get.....which means I can totally fuck around with things that never got expanded on

Well, and I paid hard for that because I often get fanon and canon mixed, and now I don't really know/care anymore which one is right. Anything I post here may or may not be authentic, unless I quoted Light Novel (which frankly, not often).

Yes, onsen are mostly open top.

I don't really care about canon. When I ask a question, I usually mean "What do you think etc etc". If I wanted canon, I'd say "Canon please."

Side note - So it's easy to fall in if you're on the roof?

canon for technical specs are actually important so we know the true limits of an IS. If not we'd be going all wacky as to power levels and every character out there may possibly be labeled sue because they're doing things which are impossible but may actually be possible.

Most onsen doesn't even have roof to begin with, only thin wooden walls, itself are impossible to climb and sit/stand on, at best you can latch to it and take a peek. There's a reason it's more practical to drill through the walls than to climb it.

In the old TLR Stratos, Rin and Houki tried to climb it and as the result the wall collapses.

Yes, to preserve traditionalism, only wooden or bamboo walls. There IS roof in the case of cottage itself (the onsen is located outside of cottage), but the degree and angle of which even a special force or ninja cannot sit without being spotted.

Wait, what about big baths like the one in school? Doesn't that have enclosed walls and a roof?
