Student council president still thinks a lot of himself, he would get a well deserved kick if the blonde didn't have very low self-esteem. Poor Chiaki and Kana, but they should really wait until marriage. The third girl is totally playing around with the guy, even if she likes him, and the final couple were sweeter than ever.

Well, that escalated quickly for the comedy couple, and my god did they honor that title, because this was easily the most hilarious the series has been since the first episode.

Speaking of, the best couple is back and still as weird as before. Personally, I can't wait to see them in proper relationship mode.

Minagawa dere was really strong and adorable this week.

Too bad, and yet, good for you, Sugawara-kun. Misunderstandings are always messy, but things seem to be going well in the end.

That's pretty much the reason why akagi approached her. after observing her for a while, he realized she was suffering from loneliness and low self-esteem, and therefore emotionally vulnerable to being approached and manipulated by skirt chasers or other boys with impure reasons. as such, akagi, who developed an interest in ryuuko, initiated contact with her before someone else took her.

well, so far only the childhood friends couple is somewhat functional, the rest is....

but the teasing girl though.....does she only only enjoy teasing her love interest?

We can tell that she does have feeling for him, but I wonder how it would last once they get official

But even the way that was portrayed in a rather innocent way. More anime should have scenes like that that are, well, natural in a healthy relationship. Especially in a medium that is utterly pretentious when it comes to titillation and fanservice (sometimes to the point of being borderline porn), but incredibly immature when it comes to sexuality as a whole.

It's slow going for Sugawara. Although at least being a good guy is helping his cause. Feels like a long term kind of pair. Unless he changes his mind about taking a forward approach it might be a slow process of Takano's feelings developing first.

I do like the trolling girl. Though it was nice to have that scene of her just being blissfully happy that he was paying attention to her. That kind of thing will keep her going as the guy figures out his feelings and taking action on them.

The first couple seemed kind of far-fetched. I think even in Japan it is not normal to only kiss for the first time when you try to make love. Normally you'd want to do various romantic things first. I blame her mother sending condoms with her, although I am sure the mom meant well and probably thought their relationship was further along than it was. His mother, on the other hand, seems to have a more realistic view of things. She knew quite well that she was interrupting the second time. (Of course, it is mostly for the comedy, but all of these couples are almost realistic, just exaggerated.)

I think it was part of the exaggeration, it's pretty fast and I wouldn't imagine many go all the way that way but consider she's been holding out for a year now

. I don't know what their exact age is supposed to be (14? 15?) but I'd imagine most parents wouldn't be ONLY jokingly worried about it either. It was all for the sake of comedy, but even within the exaggeration it still felt more realistic than most anime depiction of sexuality.

Even if these kids are third-years, they're still 14-15. I do think it's normal for 9th-graders to fool around and it's not something we should freak out over, but that bit with the mothers - that's definitely borderline creepy, even if it is for comic effect.

It's nice to see that trolling girl is still doing what she does best, but it's was also especially nice to see her just being happy to know that she is still on the that guy's mind.

Are they still in middle school?

I thought most of our cast are already in high school though?

Also, remember the "age of consent" in Japan is quite young, all the way down to 13 (yeah I know

), and especially when they have the parental approval

Many may oppose to the notion of "minors" engaging in sexual activities, but in many countries, it is acceptable for the sake of "Developmentally appropriate sexual exploration" - or at least that what's written on the Australian gov webpage where I live

In any case, why should we think that sexuality is not "pure"? They says it themselves in the episode - "I want to get to know you better" which is a legitimate reason when people are in a intimate relationship
