Finished my first round of TW:W 2 as Lothern/Tyrion on Hard difficulty at turn 232. I wasn't happy the way I played this first campaign but I was so far into the turns I just wanted to beat the game first before starting fresh. I made many mistakes and missed reading and trying to understand certain things. The High Elves are by far my favorite faction (as I expected lol) and they have some badass looking units. I'm not too sure if I like the Vortex-style campaign mission. Overall, I felt rushed to beat the mission/campaign. I mean you can completely ignore it but you'll "lose" the game but can still "continue" after losing. Starting a new one again but as Teclis this time. I think I'll run the game on Normal, because Hard was quite rough.

Just beat Clan Mors on VH. I'll admit, it was an extremely rough start with Kroq-Gar wanting to chew my furry head. His first army with his Stegadon and Kroxigar was brutal, had to throw skaven fodder and make them explode to kill the Kroxigars. Thank goodness for 11 skaven spawn from Menace Below. Then his second army is filled with nothing but Cold Ones and I just laugh because Queek has an army of cheap Stormvermin.
I'm still unsure how to feel about the vortex victory condition. But I do like how there's another way to win the game. The ritual process on the other hand enforces this awkward garrison meta. Where you literally need tier III walls on all your settlements. Also, the red tree is absolutely disgusting. So it's still the same old meta of red + blue tree. There's finally a way to go yellow tree at least with the additional 10 levels. The extra tree for legendary lords specifically is amazing. Clanrats can literally go toe-to-toe with Saurus Warriors.

I had one of my HE armies go up against Kroq-Gar and his army and we got face rolled. Kroq-Gar is ultra tanky too.
Thank goodness mods are open because the unit/turn cost on TW games has always been disgustingly high. Currently running Radious mod which I have always done so in the past to smooth gameplay out. I just beat HE as Teclis through destruction of all main factions and it is an instant win even if you don't do the vortex rituals. Was god-awfully long because the turns are so long! Even near the end when I owned most of the map and there was a total of like 5 factions left, the turns were still long AF. Deciding to either roll Kroq-Gar or Moz as my next run.

Kroq-Gar start is actually very annoying. Even with reduction for Sauras warriors you have no economy or nice settlements to get you going. Turtling also feels bad because the Skavens around you will just print out armies as bad as Sassanids in Attila Total War

Mortal Empires is out. Map is huge; however, as some have said it's unfortunately that they had to cut parts of the map out. It's not just a simple TW1 map + TW2 map. Maybe they'll implement or add to the map in DLC. Everything's been running smoothly so far. Started off as Krok-Gar who spawns in the far southeast of the map on the other side of the mountains adjacent to he Greenskin territory. Only thing that's bugging me now and will get worse in the future as more of the map is revealed is the time it takes to complete the AI turns. It's something that can't be avoided, but it's gonna be terribad lol.

I like the concept of no cost/upkeep for the Tomb of King units, but they lack in variety...they're just skeletons and weak for that matter. Seems like the focus with this faction is to attack with multiple armies of the skeletons because it takes a pretty long while to get the elite units. The voices for the units are awesome, I like the new spells/lords as well as the elite units, but the first maybe 50 or so turns is pretty stale.

Haven't touched TWW2 since way before TW TK and decided to pick up this DLC. Really enjoying TWW2 right, almost addicted yet again. I'm playing kind of slow because I'm waiting on Radious to come out with their updated overhauls mods and I'd have to start a new one.
