Plot

The original classic supernatural adventure anime aired from 1968 to1969. In the original 26-episode anime, Bem, Bela, and Belo are ugly humanoid monsters (yōkai) who fight for justice. The monsters live among humans and protect them from evil yōkai. The three find themselves ostracized from both humans and other yōkai, but the three continue to fight in hopes of one day becoming humans themselves.

Bem's youkai/monster form reminds me of the monsters from Blood+. Clothes don't magically reappear when the transformation is undone so that means naked Bela (who totally looks like Morgana from Magi) incoming!

I thought the episode had the right amount of intrigue and action.

Wasn't bad at all, action and atmosphere was good. The op was composed by Shiina Ringo, no wonder it sounded familiar. Wasn't expecting to like this really, hope it can be a sleeper hit.

Mediocre first episode. Too much focus on the useless newbie cop, not enough focus on Bela and Belu who seemed like much more interesting characters.

I'm gonna give it one more episode but it's looking like a waste of time.

Nice setting, cool atmosphere, good beginnings of characters, it just needs some help in the story department.

Bem, Belo, and Bela are interesting, I don't really know why they would want to be human considering they can go back and forth, but I guess you need some motivator.

I'll try another episode.
