I'd wait on that fact frankly not because i dont want to but also we're probably a good year and a half out of having enough material for a second season. The other problem is that given the way they handled that last episode im not sure if they're gonna do one

Trinity Seven the manga has always struck me as having very obvious strengths and weaknesses. On one hand, the setting is rather weak, with an undefined magic academy near an unspecified town, and mages of uncertain histories fighting over the fate of the world in nondescript places. And while magic in this world appears to be extremely dangerous, the characters don't seem to take the fight for their very existences particularly seriously. For a setting apparently under threat of demon lords and worlds ending, they all seem to have too much fun posing and playfully joking around with their friends and adversaries.
You could say it seems to be "floating" without being grounded in a compelling fantasy world. Or at least, if it is, we don't know the first thing about it. Magi this is not. On the other hand, it sells itself on the cool factor, with girls who are cute and cool and a fun, bold, and interesting main character. Arata himself is easily the main selling point [although his nonchalant attitude does contribute to the laid-back atmosphere]. The anime minimizes the weak points and gives boost to the strong points. It beautifies these nondescript places with elegant architectures, lots of color, nature, sunsets, etc. and give them some character (the town in the last episode is particularly lovely). Meanwhile, it goes all out with the cute/cool factor starting from the electronic music, the choreographs, and translating faithfully the mangaka's character designs. Weak ending aside -- that was inevitable -- I find this to be a wonderful adaptation. 9.14/10 would sexually harass Lilith again -IGN |

I blitzed through this series on a marathoning spree and I must say that as a reader of the manga, I am pleased to see it rather faithfully adapted. Sure, there were important stuff left out, but the cuts somewhat made sense in context of the adaptation itself.
One of the strongest points of this series was the fact that it capitalised on the character interactions, which was the key aspect of entertainment and comedy. I agree with Irenicus that the backgrounds were given much more detail as compared to the manga, but I reckon it's more to do with the medium, considering there's more space and angles to work with in an animated medium. Also, the character designs were just about ported well. They stayed distinct and true to the original. There are adaptations which fail in this aspect, and gave me a feeling I wasn't quite watching what I expected, but not this one. The music and the Magitek theme of the series blended very well, and the electronic BGM did its job in enhancing the scenes - I'm a definite fan of the BGM, that's for sure. Character-wise, none of the characters are distinctly unlikable. I guess that's another plus-point because I felt the same way with regards the original material. However, I actually like some of the characters more now, especially with their portrayal in this adaptation, such as Levi, Akio and Arin in particular. Ending on a light note, just before the next major arc in the manga began was something that I had already predicted - especially with the amount of material currently out - was a smart move in the end, and while it wasn't the best, does leave an opening for a second season in the future. Enjoyable series overall, would watch again. |

Alright, just zimmped through the series and I enjoyed it for it was worth. Opening is my favorite part, good music mixed with the characters and action scenes perfect. Animation was georgous and the characters were all fun and likable and had bad ass moments. Other than the fan service which I thought would be either way but the story sounded pretty cool so I checked out dispit that and found it to be pretty fun. Kind of reminded me of Negi Sensi in a way if any one knows that series.
Now, I don't remember all the names of the characters. First catch I tend to forget the names till I watch it a couple of timesXD So bare with me LOL. I thought the red matched best with the main character that's me.

i'm quite amazed you wonder that. Lilith is in love with arata as much as any girl in the T7 thats obvious, but because she has to play the role of teacher she cant act on those feelings. Think of it like Rias from DxD before the trauma.
EDIT: Btw Arata knows how to study right

after watching the OVA, I think I won't forgive the sales if Trinity Seven didn't get 2nd season
Best harem king ever... together with best harem members ever The climax is the best... what a way to teach what Envy is, Ninja-sama and we don't even hear anything about whether Arata managed to submit the report or not that teaser.... damn! I need 2nd season anyway, why there is no Illya in this OVA? |
