Nothing has been revealed for Volume 11: The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya (Final).
Haruhi series is completely finished?

No, it just means that Surprise is just spread out over two books.

Again, thank you bayoab. Your translation is much more fitting than mine.

Onto news! Thanks to Amazon Japan we have the official description of The Wavering of Haruhi Suzumiya (novel 6 to be released 11/7/2011)

Quote:
In Book 6 in the series, readers take a step into a time warp in five short stories. Head back to events from the previous books, and previously unseen scenes and perspectives to uncover mysteries that had been left unanswered.

Live Alive
Kyon peruses the stalls at the cultural festival and visits Mikuru's noodle stall. Everything seems normal for once, until a surprise band shows up to perform.

The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina: Episode 00
The movie that the SOS Brigade created in The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya (Book 2) is shown, and the Bridage gets to see it in its final form.

Love at First Sight
Kyon meets with an old friend, who describes seeing a girl he's fallen in love with--and it turns out to be Yuki! Will this mere human have a chance with the world's most stoic robot?

Where Did the Cat Go?
This story takes readers back to Book 3 (The Rampage of Haruhi Suzumiya) in which the SOS Brigade finally begins the main event for the Snow Mountain retreat murder mystery.

The Melancholy of Mikuru Asahina
Mikuru asks Kyon to accompany her to buy tea leaves, but a secret motive may be involved.
All mistakes have been preserved from the original description.

I think that's a good thing. The blushing was a little excessive IMO.

Well yes, but I am wondering if I can order from Amazon Japan or whatever and have it delivered to my home in the USA or something, or if not, what the limitations are.

you need to source for a proxy courier in that case. I believe there are some suggestions in a sticky thread in the light novel/manga or game subforum IIRC.

You can order books from Amazon Japan for international shipping with no problem I just got my copies of The Sneaker and Shounen Ace this week from Amazon. The only drawbacks are that Amazon will not have any store bonuses like Kadokawa's bookmark and that the flat rate for one book is 3,000 yen shipping.

Also Surprise Latter Half cover:
(This is a quick mock done by myself using the background image from the official site. It is NOT the official cover, but an idea of what it should look like.)

Spoiler for Site's background:

Beta's up!

Spoiler for space:
...I probably should have guessed she'd be the cover character for Surprise PtII.

Sasaki!

She seems a little underendowed, though.

It seems fitting that Sasaki would be featured on the beta cover since the conflict surrounding her and the anti-SOS Brigade is more focused on in that version, at least from what we've seen in volume 9 and the volume 10 preview.

But yeah, I can't wait until May 25th ^.^

Might I suggest that, to avoid confusion, we begin referring to the two Surprise volumes as "Part 1"/"Part 2" or similar. While "first" and "final" might be correct in context, they seem to be somewhat misleading (especially "final").

First Half/Latter Half would be another way to interpret the title while maintaining the meaning. I can't say why that never occurred to me before now. I'll edit my posts.

Edit: Also, what would be everyone's opinion on including the Sasaki cover for Latter Half in the "All about" thread? I'm mixed as I don't want to put anything that could be considered a spoiler on a page anime-only fans would read, but it is the official cover.

So...is anyone willing to upload and translate the extra booklet when it comes out (and the pictures of course)? I'm getting the Chinese version, so no limited edition for me.

EDIT: @ultimatemegax If I were you, I would just put the latter half's cover under a spoiler tag saying that it's a character from vol. 9 onwards.

I'll just wait til it comes out in English, and possibly in a form that I could read it without being laughed at by my friends (they do not approve of my light novel reading) .
