He got taller, yeah, but in S1 and A's he was short.

It wasn't just mentioned it was shown multiple times. The giant space station in the dimensional sea. The Administration Bureau is the joint command (Hayate works for them) and is headquartered there. Presumably it is also the Navy HQ. It is most likely the Airforce HQ as well since that's where Nanoha trains people.

Can you give me the episode numbers? I have a sudden need to rewatch; until now I didn't even know the had one, less what it looks like.

Wait, from what the StrikerS manga showed us I assumed that she actually train recruits on planetside.

Well, I seem to recall seeing it in the animated series, but the only one definite canon reference I have atm is in the A's manga prologue (a.k.a. "The Prologue of Aces"), on page 8: the middle panel depicts some sort of structure presumably floating in space, which is labeled "Time-Space Administration Bureau Headquarters". I would give you a link, but that's against the rules so I think you'll be able to find it on your own. ^^;

Nah, the structural integrity of that thing cannot handle gravity well (or rather, at all). Unless it were kept up with, you know, magic.

Also, as I mentioned, it's by far not the only appearance of the HQ in the series.

Indeed, watch ep 3 of A's.

We see it a few times, but ep 3 of A's really show you how fucking big it is (as in, country big).

Well that's definitely one BIG...deathtrap. Seriously. I can understand if it's a prison, since you're supposed to prevent its occupant from escaping, but a military HQ? Where will the crew evacuate in case of emergency? There can't be enough escape boats for all of them!
