Even later reply, but also there's also the problem that adding a new member to a fixed team would mean having a outsider who does not have the rapport and understanding that the existing members have built over the course of time. It might even end up like having Leeroy Jenkins run out and ruin the the plan, except that the consequences of failure in this case (losing Serara to slavers and would-be rapists) is way more serious than just team annihilation.

I have high hopes for this. First two episodes were good, so there's that. I just hope it doesn't become a mess like SAO did halfway through.

Based on a novel with the same author as maouyuusha and no English translations yet.

Edit: it also looks like its a web novel though I thought its only sao and mahouka that was originated from web novel. This is a new info for me.

Scanlations of the main manga's first chapter are available (it seems that everyone, including me in the past, tend to get Shiroe's race wrong )

I can't shake the though that this is Acchi Kocchi Online.

You have a smooth guy with glasses,
A loud somewhat perverted best bro character that takes all the abuse,
And a incredibly small compact moe reactor that can deal some serious damage.

They are different, sure, but I can't get the character comparison out of my head.

well story is interesting and mystery is good but why there isn't a normal game novel. a game novel like Moonlight Sculptor. all game animes are about people who got stuck in a game

I wouldn't consider it so, it has been said in first episode, and even in episode 3 preview, going more depth would be.

We don't know where there are, so yes, it's technically a spoiler. It isn't virtual reality, so wherever they are they are actually there, but beyond that anime watchers have no information.

I don't know if its a spoiler but it happen in the first chapter of the many a. It shows shiroe when his updating elder tale. His even drinking soda! And chatting (like me when waiting for a download to finish)

He also has other character than enchanter. A summoner. It happened when the update finish which was shown in episode 1 when the clock strikes 12:00 or 0:00

His body disappear in real world and fall from the sky in elder tale. His landing point is the same shown in the anime but when his falling he saw the immediate surrounding that looks terribly familiar to him in the game...

The anime tend to change or remove stuff tht hinted they are in some kind of alternate world and not just inside a game. Though you can argue the they are indeed inside the game but physically too.

And this is only a theory but maybe the reason that the attack or pain feel less is because they are level cap already and had high level defense. I wonder if the same can be said for lower level. Can some confirm this from novel reader?

Yes, the twins minori and tohya. The people shiroe mention when his browsing his friend list that surprise him that they are even online. Considering that this past midnight when the game turn "live" on them.

Speaking of which, I remember there's someone who didn't log on when he checked the friendlist in ep1. I do wonder what happens to those people,

But thinking about it. Around 20 000 000 million? Around the world disappear. That would cost a huge panic than 10000 player stuck in the game in japan. At least in that story there is the body and they knew that they are stuck in the game but here.... no one knew though some will probably connect it to the update of elder tale one way or another.

20 million, not 20000000 million.
That's the count of active users in the entire world.
There can't be more than 1/3 of that online at any given time.

Japan had around 100,000 active users, and estimated 30,000 users were caught in this event. And that should be a higher percentage of active users than anywhere else in the world, since it was the opening of the new expansion.
