It's more Shinbou and the premise for me. But given when Okada tends to do well and when she tends to be a disaster, pairing her with Shinbou seems like crossing the streams to me.

Shinbou and Shaft were involved in adapting another series from the Kirara magazines [Hidamari Sketch], and that was quite successful for me...one of the few "Shaft'ian" style series I like, to be honest. So as far as that goes I think there is plenty to anticipate.

The catch combo for me is Okada combined with Kirara manga content. It will be interesting to see how that goes. As far as I know there is very little emotional suffering to write around except in the beginning of the story, so I am admittedly curious....

After reading the last 20 posts in this thread I think it's safe to conclude that everyone is excited for this show, the premise is promising and Okada collaborating with SHAFT to invest in cute girls doing cute things is the sure-fire recipe of a quality anime.

Ok, this is interesting. Honestly, I think Hanayamata would've been more appropiate for her, but sure, let's see what happens.

You know, lately I've noticed Okada loves doing works with unconventional themes, and this actually fits the bill, being a series about cooking that's, well, actually about cooking

Funny that shokugeki no souma didn't make the jump first.

I love the violin bgm. Also nice artwork. I will be looking forward to this. I wonder if it can be as relaxing as hidamari.

Well, Pachabel's Canon is always nice to hear, but aside from brief synopsises of a few of the main characters and a few frames from the manga source there was not much....hopefully other pv's will come out, though.

I'm pretty sure Shinbou at least looks through the key animations before being finished. The series is "directed" by another person but he gets final say.

No doubt he gets the final say, but the actual series director is a big factor in the quality of the series.... Oishi da gawd gonna blow us away in 2022 when Kizu comes out...
