Seriously though, Shizuka is probably best at seeing what Hachiman is thinking or what he wants most of the time. She actually wouldn't be that bad =03. Haruno though, I can't say for sure. Lately it feels like she's so into Hachiman that she goes out of her way with these schemes just to see what he'll do, for her own entertainment.

Wouldn't be surprised. My guess, this situation is going to completely annihilate the club, you'll have one or two episodes with everyone going full-force depressing rejection with the possible exception of my dear Yui, and all the outsiders who haven't already given up do their best to fix things only to fall on their faces and maybe make things worse. Then, when things are almost past any hope of recovery, 80,000 finally steps up and does everything in his power to restore the only place where he felt comfortable being loved, in his own, twisted way. Hopefully this won't take the whole season.
For a moment a part of me rather liked Hayama, the way he told those girls off, but with a little consideration I actually kind of wish that he'd butted out. From what Haruno said it's pretty clear that if he'd kept his mouth shut she was going to find a way to destroy those two. Hayama tried to be harsh but wound up being easy, and let the girls walk out with at most a slight sense that maybe they went a little too far that night; if Haruno had had her way, they would have been wrecked and forced to see just how shallow and petty and cruel they'd ALWAYS been toward him. Also, concerning Haruno, her actions tonight have swayed me to some degree when it comes to my take on her feelings toward Yukino. Lastly, Iroha's sudden abandonment of her façade makes me wonder what sort of role she's going to take. 80,000 naturally thinks that she's revealing her true nature because she doesn't care enough to want him to like her, but it could also be that she feels comfortable with him seeing her true self. And either way, her exposing her real self expands her character quite a bit and may give her much more potential as a part of the story. Especially with the way she did it; if she'd broken down or slipped up somehow, she'd still be on the same level with everyone else, but deliberately displaying the cold manipulative side of herself to him in such a personal, intimate way seriously enhances things for her. |

I suppose the novel version of the scene might have had something that was cut from the anime version. |

Damn, Hayato is such a bro. I'm so tired so everything just went over my head, except for the fact that Hayato is giving Sunakawa (of Ore Monogatari) a run for his money. Holy crap, did he just show them bitches. XD
When did Yui ever stopped trying? It feels like every other episode she's trying a roundabout way of confessing to Hikki...

I mean, Hachiman isn't getting those hours of his life back. Neither is Hayato. And what have those girls learnt? It's like telling gold diggers that the cheaply dressed bum they spurned is actually a trust fund baby. It may sting for a bit, but it won't change their outlook. It is, in fact, embracing their logic. |

The double date plan was most likely Haruno's plan after learning about Hachiman's past crush. Considering the former, she most likely wanted to "toy" with Hachiman and learn more about him. That's why she already knew Hayato asked Hachiman in such fashion and why she was in the same cafe. Hayato probably didn't want to drag this matter and made his own plan (hence the change for weekdays and bringing Yukino and Yui in the equation), although he didn't like how it ended anyway.
