Hmm not a good idea to completely get rid of all the old characters. They're all dead or unable to box. What I find funny is that nobody has head trauma, the most common injury in combat sports.

Watari probably hasn't trained much (if at all) since he left the gym, while Take trained for those 3 years, so it's not surprising if he is now better than Watari.
Even Hyouma might be better now.

Well, when she looked, they specifically showed Take and Watari. Obviously, she met Take before, so there's a good chance it would have had something to do with Watari. Of course, you'd think he'd know if his mom was working at the school, especially after hearing the name Mito.

Which was used on Moka after tricking her with the whole shake my hand I give up schtick. That fueled Watari to go into rage mode beating the crap out of Uncle until Take showed up and stopped him right before giving the finishing blow. Still in rage mode he tried to fight him, but Take bobbed and weaved until he finally stopped a punch with his hand...
