Same. Even though the only thing they have in common is the Chinese zodiac.

I was thinking of Etotama but with all the fun and cuteness removed. This Boar was an insult to Uri-tan if she had not fallen from the path of the sesame oil she might still be alive.

What does that mean?

Uri-tan is the Boar from the Chinese Zodiac in Etotama. She loves sesame oil and buys it by the case and barrel full.

Considering her backstory, Boar had it coming, even more after she explained how she was going to take out Bunny...seems that has recently become a fail/death flag

I guess this is one of those series where if a character's backstory is shown, they'll die in that episode

Still, it's an interesting series, curious on how it'll play out.

I would if I could find him/her. Which one was the Dragon? The twin brothers seemed to both be the Snake, and no one else seems to have the look.

Snake is the dead one, Dragon is the other twin.

Chinese dragons are indeed pretty serpentine.

I don't know how I feel about this quite yet. It's something I want to like but the edge and craziness is handled in hamfisted manner which things makes the violence more off-putting then it should be. I was hoping for something more Baccano-esque where things like that happen in a more slick way despite being pretty gory itself.

I am bit confused about what Boar meant seeing familiar faces though. If the referee said about poison is correct shouldn't there been only one survivor from the last game? Boar herself sounds like she one before..

Its something the 12 families all seem to do each generation. Wouldn't be surprised if there interacted in other ways outside of the battle, and intel and information about eachother is out there. Hence why bunny mentioned he was worried boar might know about his specialty and be on guard against it, but she wasn't.

That, and they may do things differently every time. And even for this one, it's hinted the losers don't actually all have to die. The Monkey has a plan.

And didn't they say the ram's a veteran of several of these?

Maybe a veteran of different battles? All the signs probably have a lot of combat experience as assassins/mercenaries, but the old guy must have lived through even more.

I got that bit and I first I though this was the current Boar's first time participating, but then she talked about familiar faces and being the reigning champion I got confused. I guess one member from each family is representative of their status of previous member. So if the previous Ino won, no matter who the current Ino is that person would inherent his or her position as the champion.

I guess that might the poison may just be a gimmick fro this year's event? Otherwise it sounds like Boar won all the previous times and I can't anyone in that family wishing for the benefit of everyone else.

Is it safe to assume that rabbit or by extension everyone has some kind of ability? The organizers are definitely the magical kind so it shouldn't be out of the question.

Too bad about the dog dude. I liked him...at least he was calculating and somewhat intelligent. It just happens that the Rooster caught him off guard near the end.

I guess we're getting at least 1 character to perish per week? It would make sense given the length of this show and 12 animal zodiacs.

And so the dog is out. He seemed like an interesting character too. Next week will be the rooster I guess although I won't rule out the possibility of a curve ball out just yet. There's also ox vs horse going on. It would be nice to have multiple places going on at the same time that influence each other.

well techinically you can't have 1 character dying per episode, this could means which on the 11 episode will be the one of the "last man standing" and supposedly to be the last episode, unless we have a 13 hidden person then we can have the 12 dying in the 12 episode or if just will be about no winner and the anime ending with everyone dying.

for the lengt of 12 episodes of we have to have "1 winner"/survivor then at last one episode must be "free of deaths".

That will be part of the ending two parter...i thing we will get one death free episode or a melee a trois at the end
