Urobuchi Gen let us off easy. The fall of Sayaka proves itself incredibly spectacular, but surprisingly what came out is the hole in the dam of Homura's welled up emotions.

This officially ends where Kyubey stands on the matter of the whole conflict. It's an answer episode yet it's visually gorgeous.

Oh god this ep is just insane, what's worse I need to pack my computer to ship to Taiwan in an hour (got offered a job), I won't have a computer to watch next week's episode...

So many new stuff this week, creepiest one must be how trying to kill QB is futile.

Well, this is it. Some theories were utterly crushed, others were finally 100% confirmed.

Spoiler for episode 8:

• Homura's power is related to time.
• Kyuubey figures out Homura's from a different time (future obviously).
• Homura says she knows everything about him and she won't let him have his way. She calls Kyubey by his real name, "INCUBATOR". (INKYUBEYTAR)
• Sol Falling was apparently spot-on. Kyubey has several bodies. After Homura killed his current body, a new QB came back and ATE IT.
• As QB's name implies, he recruits girls to turn them into witches.
• Sayaka turns into a witch at the end of the episode.
• Finally, it was revealed that KYUBEY IS FUCKING EVIL. NO NEED TO ARGUE ABOUT IT ANYMORE. Hopefully, the level of the discussions in this sub-forum will improve now.
  
  That was an incredibly amazing episode. I'd say it was also confirmed that Homura is not Madoka, since she cares about Madoka far too much. In fact, Madoka is the only person she cares about. She almost killed Sayaka in order not to let Madoka see her turn into a witch.

Yes, I knew it. Sayaka's thing happened early than I expected but, damn, pretty much as I predicted. Homura's revelation too. I just can't believe it, even though I expected it I just can't believe it

Kanon, unfortunately, the argument about definition of evil will continue. The debate will head towards whether or not if ethics of human beings can be applied to that of the likes of eldrich abomination...

leaving that aside. Kyuubee the Incubator is such an enigma. I can't wait to see more of him.

I must say I was grinning during the whole episode considering how the various foreshadowing elements that were given over the previous episodes basically bloomed into reality.

That is to say, it was wrapping a very good atmosphere here and there

Although I still think it was a bit cranky with more shinbo madness, Sayaka's downfall was like a trainwreck: you know it is coming, at an alarming speed, but you can't do a damn thing except watch.
In the end, Sayaka was basically led astray by her "false conviction", leading to this result, as expected.

Meanwhile, the other major highlight was of course Homura being unable to save the boat, to the point her facade has collapsed. I can't help but wonder how close Homura and Madoka were in her own timeline, considering how furiously dedicated she is (on par, if not more than Madoka towards Sayaka).
And man, her weaponry is ridiculous, I was wondering if she was going to pull a bazooka or something

As for Kyuubey... color me not surprised at all. Ever since Episode 2, it was pretty clear that the whole SG and Grief Seed deal was way too fishy to begin with.
I will wait a better raw to judge myself considering how important the dialogue was, but Kyuubey agenda is pretty much gloomy. I wonder if I'm not thinking too much with QB real name, incubator regarding witches etc...
And yeah, Kyuubey being basically impossible to dispose off will probably turn him into a pesky boss in the end.

Yeah, it feels kind of weird to be right about pretty much everything, especially since a lot of us started thinking Homura was from the future after the very first episode. That's almost a record. Same goes for the Magical Girl turn into witches theory. They made the hints a little too obvious.

4chan Anonymous have been vindicated with Sayaka being a witch. On this, I feel terrible for Homura. I feel a vibe of Hinamizawa recursion of time stronger than ever right now.

No, I'm done. The revelations made in this episode make Kyubey indefensible.

Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed that the anime went in such a predictable direction. However, at least they didn't leave the big reveal for the last episode, so the ending itself might contain a surprise or two.

Here's a good question:

If tainted MG can become witch, can cleansing grief seed turn her back to human?

The problem with such question is: is there actually a way to cleanse it?
To begin with, the problem is that the soul gem literally shattered, leaving only the Grief Seed. Therefore, it is a tad difficult to imagine a restoration, especially Homura insists deep down that once you are a MG, it is over.
