Spoiler for spoiler...kind of:

Character development is supposed to be a major emphasis in this story.
I thought Inea Melplus would gain interest in the "Prince" when he suddenly rejected her advances. And then there is the Hon Ran girl. But I doubt any of them would see each other as ally or rival though. This is definitely more hardcore than Madan.

Yea, I kind of notice when the MC thought who would benefit by murdering the Prince and the Princess. Then he saw his own name engraved on his own sword.

What happen is Volume 5 and 6? I presume by v 12 he settle down?

There are other girls who like the MC in a subtle way, but that doesn't mean he's creating a harem or even reciprocating their feelings. It's just kind of there.

For example, the MC and Ran (the tamer) have strong mutual respect and great chemistry (greater than the heroine). The reader almost feels there is something a bit more, but they never take it beyond friendship.

Spoiler for Volume 6:

The thing to remember about the development of the MC and heroine is that the MC is "supposed" to be this incompetent Prince. It's how the heroine, king, royalty, and his "siblings" all view him. The relationship and level of respect between the MC and heroine is gradually built up through the MC's exploits. Just when everything feels right and the relationship is finally settled, we have volume 6.

I have liked this for a while, but I haven't been able to spoil myself too much on what happens, some little interesting and very small tidbits that bothered me early on :

Yeah I guess, it would be off-kilter if Orba, the fake prince is busted so early.

I thought setsuna's gonna take this project?

People are going to need a glossary of names every time they read this series, on account of its loads and loads of characters. Having a cheat sheet would be handy. Anyone interested in compiling such a list? Most if not all of the cast's names are on the JP wiki, but not everyone reads JP, and it'd be a help to those people.

Maybe after we survive volume 1? In case you didn't realize, it is not like we have ZZHK or Teh Ping on the translator team. If we produce avg a chapter every 2 months it will be a decade before the team finish.

For the 1st Image, I think that here, she Dances with the masked man without knowing that it's the fake crown prince. And for the second, I don't really know. Maybe a reward for beating Ryucown and save the peace between Mephius and Garbera?

Well, in any case, it looks like the author plans on keeping the princess in the dark about Orba's identity for a little longer.

It goes more than 'little longer', from what summaries I have read.

Judging by a glance of the story, someone didn't alert her until end of volume 11. I got tired trying to plow through 12 to find out how did she react or ask him,
Spoiler for Unknown summary:

Thanks for the hard work of translators. From I have read so far, the prince - Orba don't get along well with the princess.
And as for the Emperor, I don't know what to think about him. Just exactly what did he want? I hope we will an answer in the vol 2.

A chapter of volume 1 that had a bit remaining was also completed. Great day, indeed.

Great LN! I just read vol. 1 and really like it. It's a shame the translation left at chapter 7 without finishing it.

I was surprised that lately, finally the last remaining bits of Vol 1 were completed... But if my eyes don't deceive me, Vol 2 has been completed as well....

Ah, you're right. I didn't see it. And also, I'm also looking forward to vol 3. I think the real will begin there.
