KyoAni is a non-starter. They only adapt material they own these days, and they'd be a terrible fit anyway.

The old Brain's Base would be a natural, so maybe Shuka - but I have no idea what their production capacity is like. I could definitely see J.C. Staff or A-1 as a safe, default choice. But Production I.G. could also do great work here, if they so chose.

I'd be horrified if Kyoto Animation gets this. I think Brains Base is the best bet, I have noticed they seem to do sort of anime with an introvert main character well and dramas without heavy-handed approach.

Or maybe Satelight could give it a chance. I know they usually work in sci-fi themes but they also do teenage stories reasonably well.

Read the one-shot a long time ago and it was too freaking emotional. Don't know if I'm gonna be able to sit through this, but I will surely try.

Now that is interesting ... hmm ... all in one sitting then, eh? Pluses and minuses to that, but okay.

Will move this to the movie section then.

I agree. I read through the manga on Friday and was really looking forward to this as an anime.

So this should be available in the US sometime around autumn 2016.

I'll be more than happy with a film as well as long as it's just kept to the pilot/opening chapters. Many will probably disagree with me when I say this but I think that even though the rest of the manga was good, I don't think it reached the same heights as the pilot.

So I guess they'll simply adapt a one-shot. Have nothing against it.

Wonder how this'll turn out. Even if it was a short series, there's still a ton of events.

Just to be falsely optimistic, maybe they'll adapt the one-shot as a movie and if it does decently, make a series out of the series.

I hope they better adapt the one shot, take some things here and there from the manga series AND MAKE A BETTER ENDING THAN THE MANGA.

I think the manga ended just fine.

Hahaha I knew this wasn't a series...
Dont post without confirming it. It ain't a race

Though I would've preferred a live action rather than a move

^ Yeah there's no way in hell I'm believing that without a verifiable source.
