Today has been a rough day.
I just swung from a personal multi-thousand dollar up trade to a multi-thousand dollar loss trade, frankly cause of my own momentary lack of judgement and greed, ergh.. I usually have pretty good discipline. And.. it's now 4:45am where I am .. I worked more than a full day .. and am still awake to review legal documentation for a debt offering we're launching tomorrow. I feel ANCIENT right now ..

at 31, going on 32 in JAN. very much so.
modern Anime is just too "Different" for my tastes, for the major part. i find myself in longing of the good old days of my early 20's, and the "Great DVD Anime Boom" of the early Y2K days. today's INCREDIBLE Anime toys/figures are one of this current era's sole salvations for me, even modern Anime VGs suck hard anymore...

Your avatar makes you the most moe 63 year old ever, though.
Let's see, what can I brag about concerning 1988... hmm... well... in 1988, I drank more milk than Seiji, TRL, or Endless! You know, since I was a baby and all. I win this round! |

This is turning into the "I got older going up the hill both ways using stone tablets at schools we had to build ourselves each day" isn't it?
1988 - no Web, only Internet and just barely DNS. No "home internet", you used a BBS or Compuserve network (unless you did things for the DoD/NASA).. No cellphones (unless you were rich and then they were the size of lunchboxes). Home computers were rare. I had a Grid Compass laptop (government issue) and I drove a Nissan 300ZX while I did "interesting things" for the DoD and NASA. And yes, my hair was shoulder-length even back then. Actually ... it's been collar length or longer since 1974ish? Ah, the first laptop I personally owned was around that time frame -- a Toshiba T3100 with an orange monochrome graphic screen and a 20MB hard drive.

In 1988, I was 5 years old -- now I'm working on financial transactions that would make you weep at both it's complexity, simplicity and shocked at how some people that don't have their sh*t together are responsible for such things..

In 1988 I was chucked in an incubator for 2 weeks.
I spent my 20th birthday in a hospital. I am now 25 this year and I - 1. Still don't have a degree 2. Stuck with a salary ceiling 3. Wondering what the heck should I do next in life If there is any comparison to how old one feels, negative life experience, namely regrets, should be the indicator, not age.

Out in the rest of the world, I use this avatar
which can best be seen as an "artist's rendering" of my current appearance! Of course, he's an immortal and will always look like he is in his thirties. It must make it difficult to have relationships with human women. I feel for the ladies in that brothel he patronizes who must watch him remain "forever 35" while they age.

My problem of feeling old gets worse when I am having my monthly hormone cycle. All my problems, integrated along with the emotional distress I am experiencing thanks to that time of the month results in a pretty strong desire to jump forward to a period when you could care less about anything else and just waiting to leave the world.
