What anime made you go "WTF?!" the most?

Now there are always animes that are just random and others that are just thrilling with nice twists and turns. But what anime made you just go WTF!?! the most times, that you couldn't believe it.

I'd have to say in my personal opinion it was School Rumble Ni Gakki, just cause the amount of times that I went WTF?! in the ep. where they had a gun fight just suprizes me. In a close second it'd have to be Code Geass...for other reasons...mainly one in R2.

Uh, Gurren Laagan will take a total lock here. It's all just about random garness. The same can be said for Hayate no Gotoku, although there is no real specific pattern.

Let's see, there's:

* Excel Saga with its random (often inappropriate) gags like Hatchan dying, Excel rambling on ad infinitum, Pedro's life taking another turn for the worst, etc.

* FLCL for its absurd action scenes, mecha growing out of kids, and Haruko's odd antics.

* Dead Leaves. Imagine FLCL action on LSD.

* Aachi wa Ssipak. In the same vein as Dead Leaves. I love the action scenes where the poor little Smurf-creatures get slaughtered. lol.

* Cat Soup. To this day, I still have no idea what the show was about. Way out there.

Seto no Hanayome, I really had a few wtf moments in a few episodes. Was always fun though.

FLCL...It's got the absurdity of an old 1960s slapstick cartoon, dashed with cultural references out the ass, presented in an anime format...Made me go "lol wtf" a lot of times...

Serial Experiments Lain...Though in a different wtf, more like "wtf is going on :igor:"...

gundam 00 and dragonauts, though both anime are for vastly different definition of WTF. gundam 00 is the best gundam series ive seen so far. ive never had been surprised by so man plot twists in a gundam series and it even killed off several good characters. dragonauts on the other hand was a huge fail and loved to keep douchebags alive. especially kazuki, a friend then enemy/a-hole, then a reformed folower of him o.O.

FLCL : WTF so many times for the weirdness and giving me a headache for trying to understand the story.
Geass : for me anime with the most unexpected twists this year.
Hare+Guu : The wackiness of Guu never stop to amuse me.

Code Geass: Well, I'm not going to go into the most WTF of the series as it would ruin about all of R2. However, I must say I can't believe what they did with episode 24. For the past 48 episodes I hated Lelouch's guts and they made me love him after 24. ;-;

School Days: ...Only way you can understand how WTF this anime is is to actually watch it yourself. >.<

So true. You know this show has a lot of "WTF?" when the main female character of the show goes "WTF?" at least once an episode herself.

Lain and FLCL most definitely. There are several anime that made me go wtf not because I didn't get it, not because I was shocked in some way, but it was because it sucked so badly, <removed example>.

Well only the ending makes you go WTF, isnt it? Though it has been a while since I saw it last, so I might be missing something.

My enitial WTF anime would probably be Evangelion, but now that I have a better understanding of it these days it's not really a WTF for me anymore. All anime back when I was younger like FLCL, Eva, Paranoia AGent, etc all made me go WTF, but I still loved them. However once I actually knew what the points and reasons for those WTF moments were it no longer seemed weird since then I viewed those as important to the show. Really nothing nowadays can really suprise me to an extent that I'd go WTF.

Good type wtf show - Sayaonara Zetsubou Sensei (both seasons, but season 2 was super wtf)

Neutral type wtf show - Kaiba

Bad type wtf show - Persona - Trinity Soul

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamiya: Saw the anime before i read the light novels so i didn't understand why the Eps were shown out of order. Made me WTF.

Code Geass:Not as bad as some people let on if you actually stop and think about what happens but there's some scenes which are definitely WTF.

Excel Saga:Its just too weird, fun nonetheless though.
