Uh no, Kimblee was killed by Lion King. He's going to die whether Pride chooses to devour him or not.

Actually as I see it, Pride was doing Kimblee a favor by doing so. He helped him die quicker so as to not feel the pain any longer. Pride is a good child.

Did you miss the part where Pride told Kimblee "You'll live on as a part of me"?

It seems like a lot of people keep missing out on that part.

Oh, come on. We all know Kimblee would rather live inside of Pride than just lie there struggling to breathe in pain. So what's wrong in me saying Pride was doing him a favor? And "living inside of Pride" is as good as dying anyway. Just a way of saying.

EDIT: And my whole point in the previous post was that Kimblee would be relieved from his pain, whether Pride actually killed him or let him live as part of him.

''...by becoming my breakfast and providing me with healthy nutritions''

but seriously now, the quote could go both ways. It could be that Pride is doing what Envy's done to the mannequin soldiers & Gluttony i.e. consuming them to gain more souls, or it could be his definition of ''eating''.

Nothing. What's wrong is you saying Lion King killed Kimblee, which didn't happen. And that Pride helped Kimblee die quicker, which also didn't happen. Kimblee is now simply one of the souls that reside inside Pride and his philosopher's stone. He may no longer have a body, but he is alive nonetheless.

Okay, whatever you say. That's not my main point anyway. I was just trying to defend what Pride's done to Kimblee because some people see it as evil and all.

I a bit confuse, so the second philosopher's stone that Kimble has, is also eaten by Pride too or just lose? I mean Kimblee can use his philosopher's stone to heal himself right? (if he knows how to)

EDIT: Thanks for the answer, guess RIP Kimblee

I think that it was mentioned before that medical Alchemy is a separate branch of the study, so I don't think anyone can do it, least Kimblee who is more specialised in killing people. Also, he looked like he wasn't able to move anyway, like the bite made him paralyzed, so even if he knew how to heal himself, he couldn't have done it.

If Kimblee knew how to use medical alchemy he would have healed himself before when Scar impaled him in their fight on that train.

And yes, his stone probably got eaten along with himself, giving Pride all the more juicy souls.

Well, considering somewhere along the line of being bitten on and held by his neck, and being thrown around like a chew toy, he probably snapped his spine, so yeah, I'd say that's a good possibility. He's lucky he didn't die before Pride got to him, whether or not you call what his current condition is "death", which is arguable, since he has no longer has a body.

Wait, "parallelized"? ^_^ You do means "paralyzed", right? I guess he was laid out "parallel" to the ground before Pride ate him... ^_^

Great Episode, it's just getting better and better.

But you know what I always wonder? Why won't Ed make better use of his abilities? He can supposedly transmute anything without a transmutation sign as long as he understands the composition... that's like almost limitless possibilities of hax but he redundantly uses the same weak abilities over and over again. Considering how smart Ed is he could do stuff like cause the ground to turn into "lava" than cooling it back down to rock by simply causing the particles to increase in friction. Or freezing the air, or do what Mustang does, etc etc...

Wow that opening animated fight scene was sweet. I think that certainly topped anything seen in the first FMA series. I just hope they will up the animation for some of the other upcoming fight scenes.

As for the episode they did well with all my favorite manga moments: from Al's "why can't we have both speech" to Yoki's saving the day, and Mustang's grand entrance. But I couldn't give the episode full marks because of the Op song used during the clone fight. It didn't fit at all.

Hmmm, the anime should be catching up to the manga soon. Good episode overall, Al was so awesome

In terms of using the OP in the episode I feel mixed about it. Sure during the clone fight it wasn't that great. Still the block by Alex was something that required a bit more and so the OP actually worked alright there I thought.

I wonder what will Pride's NEXT conspiracy be? Talked about getting despair despite to look some answers.

Yeah, it's a bit of a puzzler. The simplest explanation I can think of "alchemy is more complex than we think". So controlling explosions like Mustang does might require a certain knowledge of particle physics and energy control that Ed doesn't have.

After all, if alchemy were simple then everyone and their grandmother would be using it.

Heat is like one of the most basic concepts of physics, it's just particles moving/rubing against each other that an accelerated rate, of course there's the need of oxygen as well.

Sure, but saying "This is what X is" is one thing, and saying "Manipulate X using alchemy" is something else. Think of alchemy as a special science of its own. Who knows what sort of extra knowledge is required to create explosions like Kimblee or Mustang?
