Amazing week. First half had the typical incredible Yoshinari animation all over the place. The second half was really, really enjoyable, with loads of great characterization and animation; it made Panty and Stocking feel genuine and real, even with their overblown cartoon traits.

Another jaw-dropper - Garterbelt as Everyman/Ahasuerus. He's given a second chance after getting killed, but then refuses it and is condemned to live through the entire history of the Earth until he's willing to accept it. There's so much attention to the tiniest detail that you have to watch parts of it on single-frame to see it all. Another masterpiece from the guy who can say more in 10 minutes than a bunch of "auteurs" can in a dozen movies.

The much more static second half is a good counterpoise to Yoshinari's energetic visual style, with the foul-mouthed angels on top form once again as they try to re-invent Arthur C. Clarke's space elevator whilst talking about fornicating with every guy in sight. Except for Brief, of course.

Awww.... I was hping the demon sisters would make an appearance, but I loved the second half of the episode. I wish my older sister was like Panty. The onlt thing they have in common is that they're both bitches.

hmm so this week we got look at garter's past from low life to big boss till gun down, then meet heaven, & then go through whole start of time from dinosaur, meteor, monkeys, adam & eve, the ark, moses, garter-mummy, etc all of time.

with end garter doing his "sacred" with chuck.

2nd part just plain regular lots of talk, eats, delivery, pwn'd the chuck, etc whick end up being panty & stocking eat up everything.

I just realize the show "DC" that Panty & Stocking were watching was "The OC".

I also went "What?" and lol that Gaterbelt was a Klansman and Nazi.

Lots of character development in this episode, from Garterbelt's past in the first half to Panty and Stocking's everyday conversation and interaction in the second.

Very entertaining episode overall. Who would've thought watching two girls watching TV and pigging out on snacks could be so funny? xD

Midonin Last Engage Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Florida	Spoiler for P&Sw/G 11 - History of the World, Part Two: The first segment was nice, putting Garterbelt into the spotlight. Though given that the book was placed right in front of his Grey's Anatomy BDSM thingy, one must question how much, if any, of the book was real. It sounds as plausible as anything else in this show, but I can see Garterbelt making it up jut as easily. For the second segment, another experimental episode. Sort of a single camera approach. Took me a minute or two to catch onto what was going on, but once one gets into the flow of it, it proved to be pretty entertaining, like a college play. If next week is to be the finale, I can only wonder what Gainax will pull out next.
