Katte ni Kaizou
Since no thread has been created yet...
From New Announced Anime thread: Quote:
Well, it finally came. And by Shaft too. Yeah, Shaft... I guess it will be animated with the later character designs for Katte ni Kaizou? And not Kumeta's older art style? Kind of wish they used his older one though...

Kaizou getting an anime probably means a whole lot to Kumeta because it has been a painful memory for him since the manga got suddenly ended.
I'm glad that Kaizou is getting animated but god damn it......this mean Kizu is gonna get pushed back even more. |

Isn't Shinbo moreso the "Chief Director" @ SHAFT and you have other individuals actually directing the series? Like I see Yukihiro Miyamoto listed as "Series Director" for Magica, Arakawa I + II and Maria Holic with Shinbo being called a Director. And you see the same thing with Shin Oonuma and the Natsu and ef series.. well Shinbo is called Supervisor for the ef ones..
Can anyone explain whats going on? Is Shinbo just a great delegated (helps having guys who work in the same style) while working on a few shows at a time himself? Quote:
I'm expecting Nisio to finish the franchise off with the next... what is it 4 novels before they even release Kizu... and that than leaves them 7 novels to animate... Last edited by Westlo; 2011-01-24 at 03:59. |

^ Shinbo is indeed a director of the series. It is just Shaft has 'a system' that allows director can work more efficiently. For example, if you see the credit roll at the end, you don't see Shinbo's name often, since he doesn't draw contis most of the time. He is more of supervisor or instructor (which is also part of director's job anyway), but that doesn't mean all those direction came out of nowhere. It's more like, Shinbo = Shaft. However, it is not chicken and egg relationship; Shinbo's direction came first, then Shaft totally adjusted themselves to fit with that direction as quick as possible and has 'system' that director can express his own world in multiple animes, such as having series directors.

Awww, only an OVA. That's a shame. Kind of surprised Kamiya isn't in it. I'm not complaning since Sakurai whom I like more than him got the role instead.
Is it the first time Toyosaki stars in a Shaft anime?

Hiroshi Kamiya as Kaizo Marina Inoue as Umi Youji Ueda as Chitan Ai Nonaka as Suzu Basically their Zetsubou counterparts. I guess that they did it like this is because in case they have a cross-over you don't get the seiyus doing two voices at the same time. |
