I don't think many of us were looking at the guys' crotches , but yea we noticed that Haruhi's butt is becoming the main focus lol

Well they could very well be trying to appeal to both the male and female viewing audiences. One thing is for sure, like C.A. said, Haruhi's butt is becoming the main focus.

This has been visible in allot of the illustrations that popped up after the series ended.

I also noticed it in that dating sim game opening for Haruhi chan.

And this new episode seems to have one every 4 minutes...lets count off...

The opening credits butt shot

The under water butt shot

The obligatory hip shot

The lets throw shit at haruhi's butt shot

The lets catch cicada butt shot



So yes. Whoever has been directing allot of the animation recenetly has been listening to way to much sir Mix allot.

I'm probably the only one to look it up, but I couldn't help but compare the shot of the bowling scores to the one in Lucky Star.

I was disappointed to find there are almost no similarities.

I reckon there'll be a 3rd opening, the reason why is because the 2nd opening seemed to focused more on the "sigh" novel, especially when they introduce the minor characters Tsuruya, Imouto-san etc... their animation becomes blurry similar to the animation in the Asahina Mikuru's Adventure Episode 00.

Assuming there is a 3rd opening comming soon, probably after the Someday in the Rain Episode, we'll have a opening focused on Disappearance and hopefully Yuki VA will sing it lol.

That would be cool and it make sense. But I never saw a Anime that uses a OP for so short time (unless it is he first one or the last one). It would be only 4~6 episodes. However, you should discusse future episodes on the Future Episode Synopses/Series Predictions/General Speculation tread. Otherwise, the mods will be mad at you (and delete your post).

Gurren Lagann changed OPs after about nine episodes or so; but that was a 27-episode series, so I dunno.

Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei and its sequels changed OP/EDs multiple times during their runs, but that's Shaft though.

I rather listen to Chihara Minori (as long she's singins with her normal singing voice, not that voice she used in the Tomare) sing ANY day then Hirano Aya. Hirano Aya's singing lately just sounds like she's screaming in the mic, I was hoping this opening would drop the 'rock' from Hirano's songs. But looks like the song writers didn't bother.

Well the opening wasn't animated that amazing, I missed the 'star tunnel' animation sequence. So it's possible that they would animated two opening, and each opening has less budget.

I personally am a bigger fan of this opening than any of the stuff she's done since God Knows.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer her rock edge to the poppy style.

The Charge of The Brigade Chief, (based on Charge of the Goddess) The idea to make this parody/homage, just sort of came to me, I'm sure it could use some tweaking, input would be appreciated.
