It's a given that he would be marrying into the Chitanda family since it's a powerful clan, and Eru is taking over the business in the future

I wouldn't really say it's because of the Chitanda being powerful, but more of how it's likely the Chitanda would want to have a heir and the Oreki family not so insistent on keeping the Oreki name.
