During a standard Lost Logia recovery mission. She and her team encountered unexpected opposition, which her entire team and herself were injured severely. It wasn't until later that anyone realised something was wrong with her magic until it was almost too late.

It was on a mission to capture a renegade mage on Mid-Childa that something went terribly wrong. In the middle of combat, she started to suffer from magical feedback every time she cast a spell. Whether it be a defensive shield spell or a long range magical attack, she would start to suffer wounds. The battle turned for the worst and in order to save her team mate, she overcharged a Magical Blast, destroying her Intelligent Device in the process and leaving her bedridden for a period of several months.

During this recovery period, the medical mages discovered that her magic had been altered in an unusual way which caused her magical feedback every time she cast anything beyond her barrier jacket. They recommended that she not use any magic beyond a B Rating in power and not stay in combat for an extended period of time at that power level.

This was when she decided to study to become an officer and develop her own division.

I'm thinking about having her develop a division specializing in barriers and unusual situations involving Lost Logia.

I like the character so far, but she's still bare bones. Hoping to see more extensive background later :3 Keroko and Kha had already hit the nail on the head on what needs work, so I'll just offer my support and my eagerness to see more filled out Charese. :3

Good start! You might want to develop more on how she got that Feedback curse, and shed a little more light on how that injury is affecting her as a person psychosocially?

Such an injury means that she wouldn't be considered for a combat vocation, so her future division would most likely be in support, with combat-support being the most she'd ever see in terms of hot action, unless it is fixed.

I guess that would mean that her "barrier and unusual LL incidents" division is involved in containing/sealing off contaminated/dangerous areas due to Lost Logia effects? I think it might go through.

Will she be setting up that unit in StrikerS? If so, I believe her work is very cut out for her.

Lastly, no OC is an island! Hope to see more of her teammates in future.

Thanks and yes, I'm planning on her having a division set up in StrikerS.
I still need to get ideas for teammates though.

Psychologically, I was thinking that she would become determined to overcome her disability while in the background, away from others, she would have some confidence issues. Partly due to the loss of her Intelligent Device that she had destroyed in the first magical feedback event. Since she had been with her device since the academy, she had become accustomed to its company and occasional advice. Feelings of uselessness that envelopes her as she is left behind on several missions due to her injury/curse would also hit her confidence.

I was thinking that she had a kind of mask. A professional one that she shows to everyone but her best friend, and later teammates (But that is much later). And her vulnerable one that she only sometimes shows to her best friend.

Curse wise, maybe a new type of virus designed to cripple mages? Something that can hide itself from magical analysis.

I'm also thinking of adding another mage that was best friends with her as a form of friendly support through the tough time in her life between the hospital and the creation of the new mage division.

He met Charese during the academy days and worked on several missions together with her before she was forced out of active duty two years later. During the time before the creation of the TSAB Special Circumstances Division, he asked to be reassigned to Ground Forces duty to stay on Mid-Childa to, not only, study with the ground forces, but support his long time friend as she tries to figure out her place in life.

During one of the visits to Mid-Childa, a fire broke out at one of the airports. Heeding the call for support, he rushed to help out the rescue effort and met a child who went by the name of Mysti, who would later join Special Circumstances.

Rhelik specialized in a form of Neo-Belkan fighting focusing on quarterstaff. His Intelligent Device, "Leiser Wind" take form of a 6ft Quarterstaff with it's AI Jewel placed between the two hand grips. He uses magic to add additional explosive force to accelerate and penetrate shields and barriers.

Raised in a rich family, she never originally attended the magical academies on Mid-Childa because her family wanted her to succeed them in their trade business. She never had very good grades due to the fact that her thoughts were usually too occupied with everything else to pay attention to what was said in class or study. It wasn't until the fire incident at the airport that her life had been changed.

After being rescued by Rhelik, she discovered that her parents had died during the fire, leaving her a company she has no idea how to run in her hands. Deciding to leave the company to the board members, she used the money she inherited to study in magic with a sort of new enthusiasm. Graduating with high marks in support type spells, she was soon scouted by Charese Silverman with recomendations by Rhelik to join Special Circumstances.

Kagerou-chan: Although mostly the same, there are a few qualities that are different upon being doused in cold water. For one, Kagerou-chan seems to have a slightly more tsun personality, along with a little bit of moe elements.

Device:
Kagerou-kun/chan uses a custom 1138-type Storage Device that functions more like a Magical Girl's wand from various anime series, although it changes form depending on whatever gender is active. When Kagerou is male, it resembles a quarterstaff, and when he's a she, it resembles a wand. In its inactive state, it resembles a playing card, usually the King/Queen of Hearts.

Barrier Jacket:
When male, the Barrier Jacket resembles a white version of Chrono's, minus the studs/spikes and with an added cape. When female, it takes on the form of a Sailor Suit-lookalike.

*Ahem* I remember 'reserving' Kyonko a while back when I introduced Cadia to the Haruhi genderbend. However, after many hair pulling atempts at a conversion, I came to a realization, one supported by Aaron.

Aaron noted something I had stumbled across as well, when he was writing pieces for the genderbend thread, he noted how much Kyonko was like Tesla, and how easy it was to write her down because of it.

Early Days

Having graduated from the magical academies on Mid-Childa, she trained to join the Enforcers after achieving the Mage Rank of A. It was here that she first met her friend who likes to go by the name of Rhelik. It took her a little over a year before getting her first enforcer post in the TSAB Dimensional Navy.
For the next two years, she served several different posts before the incident on Unadministered Planet 297.

Incident 297

She and her assigned squad had been deployed to Unadministered Planet 297 where a Lost Logia had been detected. Their mission was to investigate and recover a Lost Logia in a mountainous region on the outskirts of one of the major cities. Upon arrival, the discovery, sealing, and recovery of the Lost Logia went smoothly until several drone type units and a mage ambushed the squad.

The first volley of attacks struck the squad captain and her vice-captain before turning toward her and the assigned support mage carrying the sealed Lost Logia. Being only slightly injurred, the captain and vice-captain engaged the mage while Charese and the support mage engaged the drones, but being outnumbered made it difficult. Almost all too soon, the mage struck the captains down before turning towards the remaining members of the squad. The mage then struck down the support mage, the case sealing the Lost Logia breaking, before turning to Charese.

Being a Mid-Long range Mage, herself, she was easily routed, but the all the ambiant magic reacted with the now unsealed Lost Logia, it's magical reaction enveloping herself, knocking her out. This was when TSAB reinforcements arrived forcing the now outnumbered mage to flee.

During her stay at the hospital, recovering from the battle, nothing unusual was detected in her body so she was given a clean bill of health and returned to active duty.

Magical Backlash

Her next mission was to track down a renegade mage who had been trafficing restricted Lost Logia on Mid-Childa. The area suspected of being the meeting place was in an abandoned industrial district. She and her team were to detain any mages on site and recover the restricted Lost Logia.

The mages had arrived as expected and a battle broke out as they attempted to resist arrest. Making sure to stay back, Charese took the mid-range fire support role, but something seemed to be wrong with her. Almost every time she casted her spells, she started to feel pain for no apparent reason. At first it was minor and chalked it up to exhaustion, but she soon became worried as it began to feel worse as the battle wore on.

As the battle turned for the worst, she took on the defenseive role, using her barriers to defend the wounded. It was when she noticed one of her comrades about to be hit by a mage that would have killed them, she retaliated with a magical blast. Not expecting to lose control, the spell was overpowered unexpectedly, the magical feedback not only severly injuring Charese, but overloading her Intelligent Device, destroying it.

Magical Feedback

During her recovery following the battle, it was discovered that her magical core had been altered in an unusual way. For some reason, any magic, beyond the barrier jacket, used caused magical feedback upon herself. It was dangerous to the point that she was told not to use magic beyond a B rating, effectively leaving her out of combat duty.

TSAB isn't able to determine the cause of this, but it is suspected that it may have been caused by the earlier Lost Logia energy reaction.

Commander Training

For a period of time afterwards, she fell into a sort of depression. Having been removed from active duty for safety reasons, she needed to find her place in life. Her friends and comrades tried to support her when they could, but wasn't able to help with her figuring a new place in life.

This was when her immediate superior broached the subject of officer training. Since her position was support anyway, he figured that with a bit of training, she could train to become a commander of her own division.

Taking that advice, she enrolled in Officer Training. During this training, she started to work on an idea for a new division. The idea was that it would specialize in Barrier Deployment and Unusual Situations involving Lost Logia, specializing in restriction and quarantine.

After she had completed her training, she broached this subject with her long time friend Rhelik and asked for his help. Agreeing, they started to work on gathering potential members and support from other captains and commanders.

3 years later, Special Circumstances was officially opened.

Special Circumstances

Spoiler for Special Circumstances:

Commanded by Charese Silverman, this team of specialists deploy where need to capture and envelope areas of high magical activity or Lost Logia contamination. Being a barrier specialist, she researches and developes new barrier types.

Rhelik, a combat specialist, was giving the position of Captain. His responsibility was to protect and support the barrier mages sent out on missions.

Special Circumstances maybe requested by any division requiring their assistance.

Personality:

She generally a kind hearted person who almost always wears a gentle smile in public. In private or among her most trusted friends she shows a more vulnerable side. A side which has some confidence issues caused by her defeats and her disability along with the loss of her Intelligent Device which had been with her since her academy days.



Spells
Defensive/Support:

Wide Area Protection: Basic protection spell covering a large area.

Barrier Cage: Using the same principles of the barrier systems, she creates a cage around her target effectively capturing them.

Barrier Enclosure: Creates a wide area barrier used to seal in and contain areas of high magical activity or Lost Logia Contamination.

Iron Wall: Variation on the Round Shield which multiple layers of energy form a solid wall that is difficult to penetrate.

Offensive:

Variable Buster: Her main mid range magical blast. Depending on the purpose, it can be set for pure damage to just destroying barriers.

Energy Nova: Surrounding herself with energy, she charges then expels the energy in a wide area of effect starting from her position.

Snipe Shot: Her long range magical attack. Reletively weak compared to her mid ranged attack, but it is relatively more accurate.

S2U is how it was referred in the anime, but it means "Song to you"

Durandal was made only to seal away the Book of Darkness, I wonder if Chrono still uses it after that team battle in the comics
I don't see why he'd use it, since all it has is Eternal Coffin, S2U proved very awesome in season 1 and when he used Stinger Blade: Execution Shift in A's

Technically Durandal is focussed on cold spells, not just Eternal Coffin. And its not like he suddenly can only cast Eternal Coffin with it, he still has his other non-elemental spells after all. It wouldn't surprise me if he did still use it.

It was here that she first met her friend who likes to go by the name of Rhelik. It took her a little over a year before getting her first enforcer post in the TSAB Dimensional Navy.
For the next two years, she served several different posts before the incident on Unadministered Planet 297.

Incident 297

She and her assigned squad had been deployed to Unadministered Planet 297 where a Lost Logia had been detected. Their mission was to investigate and recover a Lost Logia in a mountainous region on the outskirts of one of the major cities. Upon arrival, the discovery, sealing, and recovery of the Lost Logia went smoothly until several drone type units and a mage ambushed the squad.

The first volley of attacks struck the squad captain and her vice-captain before turning toward her and the assigned support mage carrying the sealed Lost Logia. Being only slightly injurred, the captain and vice-captain engaged the mage while Charese and the support mage engaged the drones, but being outnumbered made it difficult. Almost all too soon, the mage struck the captains down before turning towards the remaining members of the squad. The mage then struck down the support mage, the case sealing the Lost Logia breaking, before turning to Charese.

Being a Mid-Long range Mage, herself, she was easily routed, but the all the ambiant magic reacted with the now unsealed Lost Logia, it's magical reaction enveloping herself, knocking her out. This was when TSAB reinforcements arrived forcing the now outnumbered mage to flee.

During her stay at the hospital, recovering from the battle, nothing unusual was detected in her body so she was given a clean bill of health and returned to active duty.

Magical Backlash

Her next mission was to track down a renegade mage who had been trafficing restricted Lost Logia on Mid-Childa. The area suspected of being the meeting place was in an abandoned industrial district. She and her team were to detain any mages on site and recover the restricted Lost Logia.

The mages had arrived as expected and a battle broke out as they attempted to resist arrest. Making sure to stay back, Charese took the mid-range fire support role, but something seemed to be wrong with her. Almost every time she casted her spells, she started to feel pain for no apparent reason. At first it was minor and chalked it up to exhaustion, but she soon became worried as it began to feel worse as the battle wore on.

As the battle turned for the worst, she took on the defenseive role, using her barriers to defend the wounded. It was when she noticed one of her comrades about to be hit by a mage that would have killed them, she retaliated with a magical blast. Not expecting to lose control, the spell was overpowered unexpectedly, the magical feedback not only severly injuring Charese, but overloading her Intelligent Device, destroying it.

Magical Feedback

During her recovery following the battle, it was discovered that her magical core had been altered in an unusual way. For some reason, any magic, beyond the barrier jacket, used caused magical feedback upon herself. It was dangerous to the point that she was told not to use magic beyond a B rating, effectively leaving her out of combat duty.

TSAB isn't able to determine the cause of this, but it is suspected that it may have been caused by the earlier Lost Logia energy reaction.

Commander Training

For a period of time afterwards, she fell into a sort of depression. Having been removed from active duty for safety reasons, she needed to find her place in life. Her friends and comrades tried to support her when they could, but wasn't able to help with her figuring a new place in life.

This was when her immediate superior broached the subject of officer training. Since her position was support anyway, he figured that with a bit of training, she could train to become a commander of her own division.

Taking that advice, she enrolled in Officer Training. During this training, she started to work on an idea for a new division. The idea was that it would specialize in Barrier Deployment and Unusual Situations involving Lost Logia, specializing in restriction and quarantine.

After she had completed her training, she broached this subject with her long time friend Rhelik and asked for his help. Agreeing, they started to work on gathering potential members and support from other captains and commanders.

3 years later, Special Circumstances was officially opened.

Special Circumstances

Commanded by Charese Silverman, this team of specialists deploy where need to capture and envelope areas of high magical activity or Lost Logia contamination. Being a barrier specialist, she researches and developes new barrier types.

Rhelik, a combat specialist, was giving the position of Captain. His responsibility was to protect and support the barrier mages sent out on missions.

Special Circumstances maybe requested by any division requiring their assistance.

Personality:

She generally a kind hearted person who almost always wears a gentle smile in public. In private or among her most trusted friends she shows a more vulnerable side. A side which has some confidence issues caused by her defeats and her disability along with the loss of her Intelligent Device which had been with her since her academy days.



Spells
Defensive/Support:

Wide Area Protection: Basic protection spell covering a large area.

Barrier Cage: Using the same principles of the barrier systems, she creates a cage around her target effectively capturing them.

Barrier Enclosure: Creates a wide area barrier used to seal in and contain areas of high magical activity or Lost Logia Contamination.

Iron Wall: Variation on the Round Shield which multiple layers of energy form a solid wall that is difficult to penetrate.

Offensive:

Variable Buster: Her main mid range magical blast. Depending on the purpose, it can be set for pure damage to just destroying barriers.

Energy Nova: Surrounding herself with energy, she charges then expels the energy in a wide area of effect starting from her position.

Snipe Shot: Her long range magical attack. Reletively weak compared to her mid ranged attack, but it is relatively more accurate.

Using a standard Storage Device, huh? I must admit, this is the first OC I actually see using the standard devices. Points for originallity.

Psychologically, I was thinking that she would become determined to overcome her disability while in the background, away from others, she would have some confidence issues. Partly due to the loss of her Intelligent Device that she had destroyed in the first magical feedback event. Since she had been with her device since the academy, she had become accustomed to its company and occasional advice. Feelings of uselessness that envelopes her as she is left behind on several missions due to her injury/curse would also hit her confidence.

I was thinking that she had a kind of mask. A professional one that she shows to everyone but her best friend, and later teammates (But that is much later). And her vulnerable one that she only sometimes shows to her best friend.

Curse wise, maybe a new type of virus designed to cripple mages? Something that can hide itself from magical analysis.

I'm also thinking of adding another mage that was best friends with her as a form of friendly support through the tough time in her life between the hospital and the creation of the new mage division.

During the time before the creation of the TSAB Special Circumstances Division, he asked to be reassigned to Ground Forces duty to stay on Mid-Childa to, not only, study with the ground forces, but support his long time friend as she tries to figure out her place in life.

During one of the visits to Mid-Childa, a fire broke out at one of the airports. Heeding the call for support, he rushed to help out the rescue effort and met a child who went by the name of Mysti, who would later join Special Circumstances.

Rhelik specialized in a form of Neo-Belkan fighting focusing on quarterstaff. His Intelligent Device, "Leiser Wind" take form of a 6ft Quarterstaff with it's AI Jewel placed between the two hand grips. He uses magic to add additional explosive force to accelerate and penetrate shields and barriers.

Raised in a rich family, she never originally attended the magical academies on Mid-Childa because her family wanted her to succeed them in their trade business. She never had very good grades due to the fact that her thoughts were usually too occupied with everything else to pay attention to what was said in class or study. It wasn't until the fire incident at the airport that her life had been changed.

After being rescued by Rhelik, she discovered that her parents had died during the fire, leaving her a company she has no idea how to run in her hands. Deciding to leave the company to the board members, she used the money she inherited to study in magic with a sort of new enthusiasm. Graduating with high marks in support type spells, she was soon scouted by Charese Silverman with recomendations by Rhelik to join Special Circumstances.
