Weapons are nice...but what is where?
Better detail get better missile battery loadouts. More details on the Gatlantis missile battleships would be wonderful for weapons placement since I still using the default design from the older series, (plus adding in quantum torpedo tubes...because I like those things as a "unique" Comet Empire feature). Also better weapons description on Dessler's new ride would be awesome.

Mind you that Chris Latta's Sargent Knox (Saito) voice was more like his Wheeljack voice than his Starscream voice. Valsey was closer to Starscream without the yelling....or Cobra Commander without the added Ssss or smarminess.

I know the Original Series Saito he hijacked a Cosmo Tiger when Akira Yamamoto been piloted it and he brags that he.ll able to Fly causing a brawl on the flight hangar on Yamamoto and Kato been acting like a total jerk to Kodai until he died in heroic way. the Remake Saito he is quite badass on a fight on Zurvival and he didnt pulled an aircraft Hijacking this time and picking a fight on Akira Yamamoto Kato and Kodai.

Bandai is releasing two versions of the main Gatlantis battleship in April as part of their Mecha Colle line. They will be scaled with that line's Andromeda. There is the regular green battleship and than there is a two-pack with both the green one and a white one. Pefect for fleet building I think.

I want a 1/1000 though.
I'm 99% certain we'll get a Lascaux, Kukulkan, and Gostok somewhere down the line, maybe the Gatlantis subs if they make it into 2202, but the 3 other capital ships? If the double-deck carrier is as big as I'm thinking, that's almost a definite no. Calakmul and Medalusa are iffy too. A real big shame honestly. |

As long as we get a Musashi to go with it, its all good. Might as well have all three Yamato type ships out for this fight. Yamato and Musashi surviving....Shinano, going down to show the White Comet can take out a Yamato.
I could even see Musashi getting its third bridge and superstructure blown off and have it crash into Earth's oceans, to be rebuilt (like Yamato was) years later, so its around for Yamato Resurrection. It is worth noting that this Shinano is basically his Musashi with a wider top part of the superstructure and Yamato 2199/2202 hull details. And a lot more windows for some reason. Maybe for a vastly larger hanger?

You guys forget that Shinano was a carrier when sunk only her lower parts resembled the Yamato as she was constructed until then when decision was taken to convert her to a carrier so a Yamato like Shinano is more than unlikely.
I prefer this variant: Original Shinano: http://www.hazegray.org/navhist/carr...pan/shin-1.jpg https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...er_Shinano.jpg |

The game designer does not like that version of Shinano (as the Shinano) and were have rather it looked closer to the original ship than what he got from the modeler (which has a more Midway-class feel to it). He has since made a version he likes better that is available on his website (I don't have access to it right now as I am using my phone).
I doubt he'd like the potential 2202 version.

I have little to no knowledge of those races, nor do I know if there are wdf sheets for them, or if they are the "make them as powerful as you need them to be" powers. Most were designed to be races the Gamilos, Comet Empire, or Dark Nebula Empires were fighting prior to encountering Earth, as all these powers were fighting other races.

Some stuff from Twitter:
https://twitter.com/DDG171_hatakaze/...74441677975552 So some good news or bad news depending on how you look at it. Kobayashi confirms Shinano won't be appearing in 2202, so unless there's a big misunderstanding/it's a trick the Shinano I posted earlier is a fake. Someone drew a 2202-style Arizona and some carrier variants. https://twitter.com/DDG171_hatakaze/...89418074996736 https://twitter.com/DDG171_hatakaze/...53798558007296 https://twitter.com/DDG171_hatakaze/...56754699284481 https://twitter.com/DDG171_hatakaze/...61711596367872 I found someone's repository of SBY MMD ship models, so this can be useful for anyone wanting to do some 3D stuff. https://onedrive.live.com/?id=EF0EFC...0EFC131EF792B4 He's currently working on Bolar ships, which are surprisingly smaller than I figured they'd be. https://twitter.com/mirror_mk/status/966710499143331840 He also has how the Cosmo Tiger I would land on a flat surface (second link has a video of takeoff). https://twitter.com/mirror_mk/status/955426061616955392 https://twitter.com/mirror_mk/status/9554005179281694 --- Lastly, I finally got some good references for the Neu Deusura thanks to Tim Eldred. So I tried scaling it to the established 730 meters, however that was, of course, too small for the Deusura II core ship to fit. So I scaled it according to the core ship and got this: This comes out to about 787 meters. I checked where 730 meters would land and it's right at the front of the SMITE projectors. I honestly don't know why they didn't just flat out state how long from stern to bow instead of rattling off some number then putting in parenthesis "it's actually longer than this." In any case, until they give an actual real number that's what I'm going with. I'm not sure if I want to start drawing them because we may get a real figure later. So some other things I noticed: the Gamilas turrets on the wings match the Deusura II's 480mm positron cannons, though the barrels are longer. The Gamilas turrets near the bridge are a different design, but still bigger than the 330mm positron cannons on the Deusura II. The Gatlantis turrets are about the same as I thought they'd be, however there's one place on the side (so its top is facing towards us) that looks like the rapid-fire point-defense turrets. It's significantly bigger than the regular point-defense turrets, so that's a bit odd. The Yamato and the Gostok on the Blu-ray cover are blatantly out of scale with the Neu Deusura, so there's that too. |
