So this is how that sequence is broken down in my head.

The opening strike comes from BANSHEE (Temporary designation for Crash and EDI). Stars and Lightning Units (Nanoha and Fate Respectively, we know this.) Are giving the duo the rookies benifit and not really starting with any seriousness. However, Crash has already clicked into test mode (he's trying to BREAK nanoha and fate, an interesting way to think about his objectives) and has come to the conclusion ahead of time that against ACES, a conventional head on attack will not work.

The offscreen plan that occures right before this sequence is that Crash will provide a distraction while EDI gives the girls a high speed Buzz, keeping his magical weapons offline to keep his stealth profile. Instead, using the rather significant shock force generated by a high mach pass as the method of attack. (A body passing through the air at five times the speed of sound generates a rather nasty concussion wave. Good thing the girls are aces with barriers and barrier jackets, but that won't completely stop something like a SONIC BOOM!

After that, they are pretty much woken up to the fact that this may not be such a simple 'Aces VS Rookies' fight. And the (mock) battle begins in earnest.

Any comments/suggestions? Girls too stationary? Or is their mindset right for the situation here?

I wouldn't say they're too stationary... they are older, more professional soldiers now, rushing in against unseen stealth enemies are dangerous. Besides, weak-powered rounds from a distance wouldn't do much even at a blind-spot since their Devices have automated protection.

Besides, if it's done for good reasons, why the lack of any court-proceedings whatsoever? Why was Lutecia's punishment 'back-room' matters? Why the secrecy?

The leader reared up for a resounding roar.

A pistol shot from Gimmy's black Night cleaned the creature's clock for it midway, unleashing a ripple over the creatures as they all pounced together.

But as Grey Knights Cleric-knights, these guys were easy-pie.

Not really, no, no surprisese. This ties in too dangerously with the whole Friendship of Muscles theme that the StrikerS Nano had Regius and Zest involved in. Also... I'm thinking his name is Gaiuss... after Gaiuss Tower in Ace Combat X, which is pronounced the same way...

Oh so they are gonna be a new force? I think that's really possible, especially after having a dramatic change of leadership.

Basically at the end of Alpha.... there may be TSAB Marines. May. Unless Franz manages to accomplish his 1-year old ambition and form USOC - Unified Special Operations Command. (Aka You Suck. *laughs*)

Basically, TSAB Army/AF as I see them is as follows:

Army #1: "We need air support! Where's the air force?"
Army #2: "Fuck the air force! We don't need them!" *pwnt*
Air Force #1: "Fuck you Army, we're taking our own sweet time in getting here; who cares about the Ground Forces?"

Marine Air and Ground is as follows:

Yes I chose Hurricane over Tornado if only because I could scale it using the ranking system the US Meteorology use for hurricanes.

Besides, Riot Zamber II is now called Tornado Zamber, as if Fate were to fully utilize this Zamber form, it being a pair of really cool sword-chucks made me realize Fate is gonna do lots of spinning, and Tornado fits perfectly.

I kinda wasn't too keen on it because it was sorta depressing and all, but that was good writing.

...one of my problems with writing is that Franz is in some ways an avatar of mine, with the burning need to deliver justice and kick the ass of evildoers. -_- I've been working on toning down him so as not to be my mouthpiece, by taking him in directions I don't go. (which is to say, Lowe, Nighty, that there is a possibility of Franz being a siscon. However... his hot blood is jamming his emotional siscon transmitter, so only the barest amounts of siscon are getting into his system.)

Actually, the prison meeting in 26 was quite cheerfull, with Wendi stating that Lutecia was 'not liable' and 'would be able to leave soon' I don't see Lutecia saying something along the lines of never meeting one another again.

Also, why only Lutecia? The Cyborgs were suggested to be free to go after rehabillitation, and Agito even joined the TSAB.

Seven Arcs just looooves confusing us with last minute statements.

The arcs in CLANNAD seemed to be very detached from each other that adaptations to a degree of similarity would destroy NagisaXTomoya. If only they're capable of doing separate arc alterante scenes...

There are two parts. Lutecia and Agito will be leaving the maritime isolation facility where the Numbers are held soon. After that, Agito will be going with Signum while Lutecia heads off to exile.
Oh, and Megane is there as her guardian or monitor. Her movements aren't restricted like Lutecia, but she's unlikely to leave that world unless Lutecia does. SS4 suggests she may eventually be allowed to leave that world, someday.

I have to go more indepth on how the Imperial/Saint Belkan religions evolved, but to the Saint Church, Vivio/The Saint is the ONLY Deus Imperis, while in the Imperial system, she's just one of a few hundred since the formation of the Empire (granted she's fairly important with the whole "saving Belkan civilization from destruction" thing).

What *does* "hotbloodedness" mean anyway? Same with "bluecheesium"? I'm not sure, and i'm not sure *either* of them sound too good.

Personally, I'd say that DestinyS will have a number of FMP references. I'm making out the Orphans (( yes, there's more than one )) of Alhazred to be something sort of like Whispered, but rather carrying the magic and memories of Alhazred's remnants of sorts with a implanted mental stimulus to restore their world, and Jail came out somehow wrongly due to an incident, which is why his 'desire' for his own world is vague and not clear-cut Al-hazred.

Nothing was really said for Agito (( she'll probably have the kind of Hayate-bias from the TSAB, but nothing more )), but Lutecia was pretty much exiled to an off-world planet without a trial (( either dirty dealings, or that's ALREADY the most lenient punishment available and there's no need for any court-dealings... but it brings S1 Fate into the equation a little. )) and the Numbers won't really get 'complete freedom' and 'full human rights' even upon release.

Either way, Lutecia and the Numbers have their personal battles ahead of them even after all's dealt and done.

I use this theory for Fall of an Empire myself (Vivio's full name as the king is Vivio Sakura Zaki) it make the most sense to me as well.

OVERALL COMBAT CAPABILTY ASSESSMENT:

Aurion’s vast experience and knowledge of magic and combat strategy makes him a foe to be feared. He doesn’t so much as overwhelm opponents by sheer force, but he doesn’t rely solely on tactics either. His preferred style involves tactical use of his own capabilities and the surroundings as setup, particularly his illusions and binds. He then strikes with unusually powerful focused attacks, which is how he compensates for his relative lack of magical stamina. In short, the focus of his style is versatility rather than focusing in anything in particular. But the fact that he has already specialized in some fields before jumping to versatility gives him some unfair specialization in some areas. The following is a rundown of his capabilities per category.


Range Attack:
As a once-standard Mage of the TSAB, he is naturally a more range-oriented attacker. If one were to compare him to someone like Nanoha, he strikes with smaller, concentrated energy projectiles in contrast to the extremely high-power shots of the Ace of Aces. His spellcasting speed is undoubtedly good, augmented further by his device, Reishiki. It’s rare to see any spell that takes more than a few seconds for him to cast. His degree of control over his shots is phenomenal, higher than even that of Nanoha’s or Keroko's; owing to his unique Magical Field Manipulation skill. His accuracy in shooting is also top-tier, but he is more oriented for in-field shooting as opposed to sniping from extreme distances. He is an overall very proficient range-attacker; with several years amount of experience and precision behind his each and every shot.

Melee Attack:
He is by no means a melee-combat specialist. However, he has a good amount of ability in hand-to-hand combat stemming from his training under Instructor Austin Abrams of the Air Division during his youth. His strikes are powerful enough by non-Knight standards, but he more often than not augments his own strikes with magic such as Break Impulse for particularly devastating results. He has about eight years of swordsmanship training to be able to use his first miscellaneous device properly; VKA-01, a double-edge broadsword that he wields one-handedly. He started doing so in order to have a better feel of the Neo-Belkan System research in which he heavily participated in. However, the most fearsome part about his capabilities in close ranges is his left prosthetic arm/device, Reishiki. Aside from taking the form of a robotic arm, it also possesses a frighteningly monstrous amount of physical strength inherent in robotic appendages. He can go as far as crushing bones that are unprotected just by his grip. And going along those lines, his strikes are incredibly powerful when he uses melee weapons (whether makeshift or not) left-handed. All of these give him a definitive edge over most Mages in close-quarters combat. Of course, full-fledged Knights such as Signum and melee-specialist Mages like Fate naturally surpass him melee-wise in terms of skill, nonetheless.

Physical Defense:
Aurion is no Knight, and is naturally more reliant in magical shielding due to being a Mage. However, he WAS trained under Austin Abrams after all, an instructor who advocated for top physical and mental form for mages. Despite having retired active military service, he maintains a good physical training system to keep himself fit for battle reminiscent to that of Abrams’ methods (of course, on several degrees lower, since Abrams is a definitive monster in physical form) Due to this, his physique is in good condition, and can take a good amount of physical punishment.

Magical Defense:
His magical defenses are, strictly speaking, solid. He knows several types of barriers, shields, and other types of defenses from both Mid-Childan and Neo-Belkan systems; actually creating a couple of unique and powerful defense spells of his own. However, as good as his defenses are, he prefers to dodge over blocking attacks since he has far less energy compared to the likes of the Aces. Naturally, highly-intensive magical defense-use is very taxing on the magical stamina of a mage, even in consideration with his Magical Field Manipulation ability. In short, he has good defenses but doesn’t have the stamina to play tank for too long.

Tactical/Support Abilities:
His plethora of spells also includes support skills. However, one wouldn’t help but notice that almost all of them save for the single basic healing sell are all combat-oriented instead of purely support skills. Despite his proficiency with magic in general, his orientation is primarily more on the offensive side. His best area in tactical spells… and arguably his best area in magic altogether (even higher than his range-attack skills), is his prowess in Illusion magic. His proficiency in mirages, disguise, invisibility and even overlapping illusions has always been his best area since he was an Enforcer; and it actually remains so up to now. He likes to spend more of his magical energy in his illusions than in attacks or defenses, granting him several ways of defeating enemies without spending too much energy in more stamina-consuming attacks. He has a surprisingly large amount of known Restriction/Bind spells; which has been made a subject of some jokes on some occasions. He knows how, and is not afraid to play dirty as well, which is an asset with some harder dealings in the field.

Mana Capacity:
Arguably his worst area as a mage aside from pure support spells, his magic capacity count only amounts to 623,000 units, lower than half of either Takamachi Nanoha’s (1,270,000) and Fate T. Harlaown’s (1,430,000) latent magical stamina. While still quite an honestly respectable amount, this limitation prompts him to focus on more low-power and smaller, concentrated spells over any kind of big magical attacks.

Speed and Agility:
His speed and agility are overall decent, but not much when compared to the ranks of Fate, Keroko and other speed/maneuverability-specialists. He still would need separate spells to be able to do quick moves at par with those mentioned since his natural speed won’t compare too well.

Tactical Ability:
While not an outright tactical genius, Aurion is actually on par with those like Tesla in tactical ability. (Amusingly, though Tesla should be faring better than she does right now in her and Aurion’s competitive scores, Aurion retains a strong lead since their little competitions can sometimes range from normal games of strategy to those of individual mind games, where he excels.) But, instead of only prowess in tactical theory, his strong point is in tactical innovation; which sometimes borders on the silly side of things, but oddly enough, works wonders on some occasions.

Hopefully, it'll come thru as acceptable. I lowered his stamina further and batted off some more unacceptable capabilities. And I also made sure to properly cite the limitations of each aspect. So, how is it?

The creatures eventually expand to become part of the main antagonist(s). They're expansion becomes rather rapid, as I'll (attempt) to explain in a few chapters (not scenes, mind you).

Even the silent Hiro stopped to gaze into the eye-like glints peeping from within the aliens.

Gimmy took one look then kicked his head back and groaned audibly. "Oh hell no, what are you guys doing here in a Yellow Zone?!"

The leader reared up for a resounding roar.

"EHK! WRONG ANSWER!"

A pistol shot from Gimmy's black Night cleaned the creature's clock for it midway, unleashing a ripple over the creatures as they all pounced together.

But as Grey Knights Cleric-knights, these guys were easy-pie.

Riot Slash - This strengthens Fate's swing, allowing her to deliver a clean slice through the midsection.

Riot Saber – Fate uses additional mana to enlarge the Riot Zamber into a larger katana-like blade. She then swings it, releasing what seems like a giant version of the ranged mode of Haken Saber.

Thunder Reversal – Fate performs a giant vertical strike from below the opponent and then performing a swift horizontal strike almost simultaneously, then finishes with a strike of lightning from above or from her hand for a good measure. This attack resembles Artei's Tsubame Gaeshi, but it is not know if Fate had consciously borrowed Artei's skill.

Sparkcleaver – Fate would perform a series of rapid slashes, before ending with a clean, vertical cut. It is Fate's variation of Saber's Mooncleaver attack.

23-year-old Mayura Lee Labatt

History:

Amongst the three Belkarangers, Mayura was the only one not born into the bloodline of wealth and luxury. She was born Mayura Lee, youngest of three siblings, and only female of the Haken Lee Dojo of Martial Combat in Cranagan. Their parents had died in a power-related struggle that had left the dojo in near ruins, and left to fend for themselves it was up to her elder brothers Garrod and Falken to restore and continue the family tradition. Without the restrictions that their conservative parents might’ve otherwise imposed on her as a female, Mayura was extensively taught the family arts by her brothers at a very young age, excelling in the ways of the ‘Gaoleon’ style of hand-to-hand combat by 6 years of age.

The turning point in her life came at age 7, when their most hated rivals, the Ark Chen School, challenged them yet again to a match for their dojo’s name. Hoping for an easy victory with their underhanded methods, the Ark’s best mage fighter, Rio, had asked specifically for Mayura to represent the Lee’s in direct combat.

In an astounding moment that would shock her brothers and the Arks, the young Mayura managed to utterly own the taller and more powerful Rio in combat, using her own magic-enhanced fighting style. The defeated Arks could not take this overwhelmingly embarrassing defeat of their best adult fighter at the hands of a child, and in a fit had their minions proceed to have the Dojo burned and the Lees killed. Despite their best efforts the Lees could not overcome their enemy’s superior numbers, weapons and dirty tricks, and as the siblings lay exhausted and beaten they could only watch their Dojo razed to the ground. It was when all hope seemed lost for the Lees that salvation arrived, and it came in force with the mass of police sirens that accompanied Mr. Mason Labatt, head of Labatt Enterprises, and one of the most influential people in Midchilda. After months of surveillance the Arks were finally caught in the act, and were thus rounded up to face justice, including their leader Rio.

With the Haken Lee dojo gone, Mr. Labatt offered to take in the tired and battered children, because in his words “so he can clear his immeasurable debt”.

The Lees were thus adopted, which was a blessing to the long childless Labatts, as they now had legal heirs to their decades old family business. The now Labatt siblings would now be indoctrinated in the ways and responsibilities of the upper class elite, groomed in the decorum of luxury, a world once alien to them. Fortunately the siblings were still allowed to continue their Haken Lee martial arts tradition, but with the elder brothers having less and less time in practicing their art and dedicating themselves more to upholding the Labatt business it was left to Mayura to shoulder the burden.

For a while, the weight of this responsibility at such a young age, coupled with the isolation of being the only female around nearly left Mayura in despair… until the day Mayura met a bored Asagi Colwell at cocktail party, and casually started a conversation about the martial arts and fighting. This would be the simple start of an inseperable friendship between the both of them, and only a year later up her return from a family vacation on the 97th Administered World, Mayura would be responsible for introducing Asagi to what would later become their shared passion, and the latter’s obsession: Super Sentai.

And it was this passion that would lead to the two of them joining the TSAB Academy a few years later along with their new friend Julie Liu Ming to put their collective combat knowledge into good use. Like Asagi and Julie, Mayura would train as a Midchilda-type Mage for their first two years as cadets, before they were enlisted into the experimental class of 0061-Q, with their superior’s realization that their skills as close combat fighters would be better honed and utilized in the emerging style of Neo-Belka. As one of the newly formed Belkarangers, codenamed BelkaYellow, Mayura displayed her impressive talent in unarmed martial combat, besting many of the cadets in hand-to-hand, and getting the personal approval and praise of instructor Quint Nakajima, whom Mayura had fought to a standstill in duels.

Graduating from the Academy with flying colors, Mayura served with Asagi and Julie in their assignment in the 79th Army Battalion under Hiram Maxim. It was while serving with the 79th that the Belkarangers would meet one of the most influential people in their lives: Private Shinobu Nakajima.

As one of the rare TSAB servicemen to practice hand-to-hand combat, Mayura easily found a common bond with the young and fiery Nakajima, becoming an honorary Belkaranger dubbed “BelkaBlack” who always went along on any mission assignments the girls would find themselves in for the rest of their time in the bureau. As sparring partners in martial arts the two complemented each other well, and Mayura found a sympathetic soul in Shinobu, who only too well understood the ordeal the young Lee had once undergone, and knew best how to lift the girl’s spirits from the burden of responsibility for her entire dojo.

Thus the news of Shinobu’s untimely death at the hands of a Lost Logia only weeks after the Belkaranger’s retirement devastated the trio, Mayura being the hardest hit of them all. Her grief was only quelled by Asagi’s creation of the Search Guard Successor Foundation with the intention of preventing a similar tragedy from happening again. And so as Asagi founded their current organization in memory of their fallen friend, so did Mayura honor her beloved friend by adopting Shinobu’s colors as her own, as The Ebony Justice BelkaBlack.

Currently Mayura is still serving with Asagi and Julie in search of their “Precious”, all the while continuing to uphold the family arts by teaching a new generation of young warriors in the way of the roaring fist.

Technically, she's also the last king and the one that lead the final battle onboard the Cradle (and the one who ordered the Cradle burried when it had crashed).

In my storyline, the Cradle was Vivio's personal warship, but out of her kindness and concern for her people she loaded as many people as possible that weren't involved in the actual defense of the old Belka on to it then sent it to another planet.

It ends up on Midchilda after the War of the Lords and Saints.
