I don't think Amane's route was bad just a tad bit overrated IMO.Also if indeed Amane is the main heroine I think 8bit might change the story where Amane will play a more active role in helping her friends.

My personal prefence will be that the anime will take a "harem" route approach or atleast something like most VN adapted animes does by showing bits of every heroine , although you can't conclude anything yet from the pv

If they want to adapt Meikyuu and Rakuen later — the only choice is to mix all the routes somehow(like it was done with Little Busters). Cause you need all this bites for later story. In Rakuen they stated that Yuuji helped all the heroines but they didn't bother to make some True route which would connect Kajitsu and Meikyuu+Rakuen. I think the main reason is that studio wasn't sure about VNs success so they made separate finished routes in Kajitsu and stopped at this. But it was successful so they adapted the story planned for True route later as Meikyuu and Rakuen. Now anime scriptwriters should think how to fix it.

I hope this will be 2 cour show. I'm coming into this show fresh but did talk to a friend who had experience with the medium such as the VN and manga before.

If it's going to resemble the game in any way without gutting vast swathes of entertaining content it's gonna have to be 2-cour.

Pretty sure it's confirmed for one, though. Could be split?

Well if its more then one cour, it will definitely be more than one route, unless they plan to adapt every scene in the common route.

I am surprised to find out since I always imagined the series having more than 1-cour according to some of things I heard about the VN. Since I watched the PV previously, I can say that the animation is good but not great like I expected it to be. Since 8-bit is doing this and Absolute Duo this fall, I hope they kept the animation budget of Grisaia consistent throughout the whole show even if it have some small animation mistakes.
